Okay, I wish I'd read this before I made my after-work plain daiquiri.  I have strawberries from last spring in the freezer!  And it was a shitty strawberry season, so they're really not sweet enough for anything that doesn't involve a high booze-to-berry ratio…

@TheMogul:disqus Okay, no — THAT is the awesomest thing I'll learn this week.

@avclub-75e43c12ef9f1cfdaeae92ca6fa90640:disqus I'm sorry — the bus jump scene is stupid?  I believe the word your friends and acquaintances are looking for is "awesome".

Hm.  Work is winding down here.  I wonder if my after-work will include such a tasty libation?

@avclub-6beb5f589a9fd04c21fcd50db3d9c80c:disqus Ah, the wisdom of old age!  You're so right, though — after a few tastes of a "not boring" life, it's really nice to get back to dull.  When I tell people my life is a flat, unwinding road, I mean it in a good way.

That does sound like a Dark and Stormy, but made better with the bitters!

Yeah, my rooting interests died pretty hard in the first round, too.  I think I want the Kings and Pens to do well, but at this point it's more about who I don't want to win than who I do.

After some bad experiences with the Caps blogosphere back in my hockey blogging days, my hatred for the Caps has grown way out of proportion to what they probably deserve.  But regardless, I was delighted to see how that series ended, even if it was at the hands of the Rangers.  AAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!  Suck it, Caps!

Seriously!  What's with all the see-through shirts?  I'm a very pedestrian dresser, and tend to just stick to the one or two clothing purveyors I've had success with in the past (very staid, stodgy, old-lady sorts of places).  My work-appropriate shirt situation reached critical mass heading into the warmer weather

This really speaks to the human condition.

Were you the one recommending this yesterday, too?  Someone here left a comment about it that I stumbled over this morning and my life is irreparably changed now.  CAN'T… STOP… ATARI BREAKOUTING…

Whaaaaaaa?  That is legitimately the awesomest thing I'll learn this week.

I will watch — and thoroughly, unironically enjoy — any dance movie.  I make no promises that I'll remember anything about it later, though, which is why I'm confident I've seen and liked both Center Stage and Save the last Dance, but couldn't discuss plot points here.

How about if you saw it so many times in the theater when it came out that you decided to see if you had the intestinal fortitude to get your count up into double digits?  And it turned out that you did?  How about then?  That's something worth hiding, right?  I'm asking for a friend.

I think this is the first time they've come up in my five-song report, which just goes to show how these lists are not a good representation of my listening habits.

Oh man, I love Black Maple Hill bourbon.  My brother recently became un-estranged after a decade, and the best thing to come out of it is that he sent me a bottle of that at Christmas.  It's good, good stuff.

Holy shit, avocado soup?  That sounds divine!

I made quinoa on Monday night!  With some sauteed red onions and preserved lemons.

I was supposed to be responding to the panicked email from my boss asking for me to send out the TC dial-in info for the meeting he's running that started at 1.  I didn't see the email until 1:15.  Whoops.

I don't know what comes after it, but my most-played song is "Retrovertigo" by Mr. Bungle.
