Oh no she better don't.

Yes! this needs to happen.

Not the ones I've been to. There's always an aspect of witty banter and comedy.

I hope she either gets rid of it, or stops bitching about people not liking it. You know people think it's a problem: either get rid of it or stop being surprised at the same criticism.

excellent point

Part of me agrees with this, but I also usually forget about her during the post-show conversations, so maybe some other queen will edge her out.

I think one of the reasons Gillian Jacobs noted the queens who say "I just want to be true to myself" often go home is that's really just code for "I don't want to try something new or be uncomfortable. I just want to keep doing what I know how to do and not be flexible or grow in any way". It's hard to win this

I wasn't even familiar with the character she was doing and thought it was great. really great job.

Yes! I think I liked Milk a lot more before she seemed to be unfamiliar with the SHOW SHE IS COMPETING ON.

It seems like that happened so long ago that I'm surprised to hear this, but I believe you. I wonder why Darriene picked Paula Deen, then? She didn't seem to be a very big personality before the scandal. I guess it got her through as safe, but I would have thought she could have done better. Darriene seems sharp

ooohh.. good idea. That would have been funny, and not overly offensive. You'd think these girls would have their Snatch Game characters down pat by the time they come: it's one of the few challenges you can anticipate and "study" for.

Yes, this is the reason I prefer Laganja over Gia, thank you. Gia is simply not interesting. They're both young and clueless, but Laganja is so needy you can feel it reaching out to you through the TV. It's not attractive, but it's interesting. I expect Laganja or Milk will be out next week, maybe Laganja has time

And the fact that she did the first one literally a few seconds after the music started was poor timing. Wait until we're into the act before busting that out… it seemed shamelessly attention grabbing and poorly timed to me.

She and Jocelyn Fox have been stealthily flying under the radar, popping up to say something amusing now and then and foster general goodwill while the less talented queens drop. Good strategy for the early part of the game, I think.

I agree… I took it not as a criticism, just as a comment on the kinds of things she tends to gravitate toward. Like Milk: They liked the first couple of crazy gender fuck looks, but if she doesn't start showing something different, it's not going to go well for her.

I think, though, that the judges made a good point that her drag persona seems informed by Anna Nicole Smith. Not that her performance in Snatch Game wasn't HILARIOUS, but it's less impressive when you realize she acts a little bit like that all the time in drag.

Agree, she's one of my top 5 personalities out of drag. She's naturally funny and engaging. But when she's in drag, her inexperience shows. I think she's going to do well in her career, but not win this competition.

As a commenter for whom grades matter somewhat, I feel the need to explain: I sometimes browse the site before I've seen a particular episode (either because it hasn't aired on the west coast yet, or I've DVR'd it). It's nice to see the reviewer's grade and get a sense for the quality of an episode without getting

If only Shoshana was taking a class from professor VanDerWerff… she would manage to squeeze out a passing grade easily and we'd have seen that dumb flag she was obsessed with talking about.

Agreed! I said it before above, but have to say it again here: With the March Madness games it would have been easy for CBS to flood the airwaves with "OMG, you have to watch The Good Wife on Sunday!!!!!!" ads. I'm glad they didn't (at least as far as I saw).
