The Watchmen hardcover (at least the old Graffiti Designs one at any rate) has sample pages of Moore's script. He'll happily spend a whole page on a panel.

Sung: "Long ago… and oh so faraway —"

Not heard the new album yet (it's another month before it's released in the UK) but I heard The End is Near on the website. I liked it - certainly it is restrained for them, but it does at least have a wooshy guitar solo.

I love that shot of Kaylee twirling her parasol as she talks to Book, just standing there as this spot of vibrant colour in the crowd. I'm sure on his commentary Whedon says he would've loved to have pulled the camera back even further but there were budgets and stuff.

@ HipsterD
'Restless' is magnificent. I do love it when Whedon goes artsy (see also: 'The Body' and Firefly's 'Objects in Space'). In saying that, Doppelgangland is still my favourite Buffy episode (it's just perfectly formed, plus y'know, my frightening crush on Aly H).

Season 6 spoilers:

HipsterDBag, was it really a case of WB overuling Whedon. I could be wrong (I don't think it's something that's benn talked about a lot) but I thought it was the case that the actress who played the original plumper Willow in the pilot wasn't really working and that when it came to recasting Whedon decided to be a

And pegging each other with expensive custom-made equipment no less.

I found some of my old Action Force comics a few years ago and was surprised to see Grant Morrison as the writer on one. I think it was a story about the white ninja (Shadow?). It was pretty decent.

Oh and the first 24 issues of Brubaker's Catwoman run. God I loved that.

Hi, I don't see Alan Moore's Swamp Thing on your list. If you haven't read it, you're missing out on some of Moore's best stuff. Reading the collections (there's six paperbacks that cover Moore's run, though I think a hardback recently came out collecting the first couple of paperbacks), it's clear that it was a big

I haven't read any Morrison scripts, but I do know that he collaborates with Quitely to far greater extent than he does other artist (quite possibly because they both live in Glasgow). Cameron Stewart (my personal favourite non-Darwyn Cooke-shaped artist) said that with SeaGuy, he doesn't have a lot of contact with

Walken Tall, the creepiness of the scene is reduced somewhat by the fact that Speedman appears to be having sex with her belly button rather than anything south of the equator.
Clearly the director doesn't care who screws his wife's navel… artists are enlightened that way.

THE ANDROGYNY STRAIN
Semi-interesting production note:

Just like my mother said, the prettier the pony , the bitchier its temperament.

I've a wee bit of a soft spot for Insurrection. It's cheesy to be sure, but I actually liked that it was willing to be basically just a bigger budget episode of the TV show rather than try to be a huge sci-fi spectacle (Nemesis, I'm looking at you).
I'm with Jimmy James, it's not up there with Khan or Undiscovered

I try to avoid pointing out spelling errors, but adept42, your "wereshiped" just gave me a great idea for a movie.

It's a part of their culture Reck, like those guys who stick big plates in their bottom lips. It's not our place to question their culture… their stupid, stupid culture.

Jimmy, that was going to be the plot for the opening episode of season 4.
Spock would have learnt an important lesson about different track gauges.

I mentioned the bit that gets me in Iron Giant earlier, but yes Leon too (Leon and Mathilda's last goodbye). Also the kisses in Amelie.
