Here's a question, which version of Pat Garrett do you guys prefer, the 1988 Turner Home Video director's cut or the later "special edition director's cut" (both of which are on the DVD)? I like them both, but definitely prefer the 1988 version because of the intro with the freeze-frames of the shooting match to Bob…

Definitely my favorite.  Wurlitzer was unhappy about all the violent scenes that Peckinpah added, but I mean, c'mon, "Keep the change, Bob," how great is that?

You know what almost got a C+?  I Love You, Man, which got a B-.  And Role Models got a B, so if this is just a notch or two below those, it should be an amiably enjoyable watch…on cable, of course.
