It's a rare thing to meet another person who appreciate a good gueuze.

I very much like @avclub-0f0d67e214f9fef69b278e3d08114da9:disqus   's comment - and just to add to the analogy,  imagine if, in the months leading up to the hypothetical Mendoza Line / Strokes concert, there was a constant PR buzz about how groundbreaking and brilliant The Mendoza Line was, about how anyone who's

That makes sense - even the Klingons became a little less one-dimensional with the added flavor of recurring characters who were more complex.  I'd definitely agree with that assessment of the Cardassians - certainly by seasons 6 and 7 some of them are as important to the show as the DS9 regulars.

These two episodes - and Zak's commentary on them - got me wondering, who are the Cardassians supposed to represent?  I feel like most of the Trek universe is populated by relatable Earth groups. The federation is supposed to be the US, the Klingons are the Russians, the Romulans are the Chinese, the Bajorans are

That movie rendered me forever incapable of not busting up into laughter whenever I see Red Snapper on the menu at a restaurant.  Every time I have to restrain myself from asking the waiter if it's "Very tasty?"  I'm not always able to.

He's the guy in Spies like Us directing the training for Akroyd and Chase. And he actually plays Felix Lighter in the bond film.

@avclub-bf48f439bf2a843bcfe045c71321f09a:disqus that's interesting because something about Richter resonated with me that didn't with Twombly or Johns.  I saw his big show at the MoMA in NYC a few years ago and really liked it - it may have just been well put together and explained though.  The series on the

I think the Trek franchise got a little better over time dealing with kids - certainly it could only go up from Wesley.  I agree that the Ben / Jake relationship felt real and was probably the best type of that kind of relationship shown in a trek series, but the little girl (even if she was annoying) on Voyager was
