    Red Letter Media kind of remind me of Nostalgia Critic. Their comedic videos are actually shittier than the movies they shit on.

    I think the problem is that this particular commentary track had nothing of interest at all.

    Especially The Big Bounce. What a boring piece of shit.

    It's a valid argument, but it's still predicated on an assumption. I don't see any pressing need for him to make an assumption rather than see the film, as no narrative or argument is being put forth by film critics beyond that they enjoyed Zero Dark Thirty. The torture-fabrication has been well known since before the

    Yeah, I've got the whole trilogy lying around, but I kind of lost a bit of interest after Oldboy. I've been meaning to check out the other two.

    I'm pumped for that Stallone movie. Its directed by Walter Hill and looks like the closest we'll ever get to another Tango & Cash or Cobra.

    I liked I Saw the Devil a lot more than Oldboy. I thought it had a much more interesting commentary on revenge. I still have to see Park Chan-Wook's other films though.

    But his second point (or issue) is contigent on seeing the film. How can you claim what the film asserts without having seen it yourself? He does says "it's a critique of the viewpoints expressed by reviewers and the filmmakers", but that doesn't jibe with stating prior that "the film asserts, falsely, that torture

    I would add:

    Well, Akiva Goldsman is remaking The Toxic Avenger as a PG kids film.

    @thecolonelmc:disqus Opinions cannot be wrong: they are entirely subjective. If I enjoy a movie, I cannot be wrong for what is really just a feeling or preference.

    What exactly makes action figures of these characters any more offensive than a movie featuring them?

    You called?

    They remade it. It was called Train, starred Thora Birch, and supposedly someone got their dick cut off in it.

    Wow…why are there so many people on here who have driven high? Its not nearly as bad as driving drunk, but seriously, its a real asshole thing to do.

    Nah, they didn't think it was a PR stunt. One of the internet critics said that afterwards - the other four or so admitted they knew it was for real.

    @avclub-5fdbaa11bd42c308322756f60f43785f:disqus I think you missed out on some of the best horrors of the past few years. The Orphanage is a masterpiece, and if they count, I'd throw in Pan's Labyrinth and The Devils Backbone as well. Haute Tension is a bit silly, but its also one of the most grueling, nasty,

    I'm pretty sure Django Unchained has more torture than this movie. Wolf Creek is kind of like Texas Chainsaw Massacre in that most of the gore and violence is implied.

    @avclub-501c54d131c3b93043a744af0c259c58:disqus Wow…never watching that movie.

    I think they've been pretty damn good for horror. Most of the stuff that makes it into theatres has been crap, but there are tons of foreign and straight-to-DVD horrors that are, at the least, very good.
