That owl
The last shot leads me to believe that the owl might have more significance than initially meets the eye. Seriously though, was there a reveal there that I just completely missed? My DVR kind of bugged out on a couple of scenes, so…

Poor Miles. He's just like other people on television named Miles. I personally was a bit disappointed they mentioned the tattoo. I think it would have been super rad not to address. Maybe Miles just notices it and kind of grins or something. Also, was there any significance to the comic book that was in his bag?

Pretty much most of the plot of the Comic is fucking. So, unless Darabont scales that back, yeah…

Yeah, but if the show stays true to the comic, then you really shouldn't be seeing much of him outside the pilot for a while. I'm not really sure why he was shooting at Zombies from what looked like a clock-tower there in the trailer.

I'm sure that you will get the flashback episode you so greatly desire. And yes, it would be extremely gimmicky.

Is it standard police procedure
to send a wife her dead husband's bloody robe? I understand the ring and cellphone, but surely, bloody rags are not included. Maybe they do. But if they do, maybe they shouldn't.

She is indeed.

Speaking of suicide…. Wouldn't it be rather fitting if the whole series ends with Jon Hamm jumping off of a building a'la the opening credits?

So that nurse lady.
Wasn't Rachel Bilson? Do I even know what Rachel Bilson looks like? Doesn't she look like that? She'll probably sleep with Don.

It is a show that makes me laugh out loud for sure. And it's best when it's lighthearted. This write up reminded me of one of my favorite exchanges. Where
Leo: "We'll get you some information on the lynx, which is a kind of possum or something."

Agreed
I also love that scene where Toby stays and drinks the beer. So many times on television shows, characters meet for a meal to discuss something. They order something, and finish the topic within twenty or thirty seconds. Usually, they are angry with each other. I often find myself imagining what happens for

Isn't it kind of strange?
That this show that is pretty much entirely about alcoholism and the terrible effects it has on one's health and one's family is brought to us by Bud Light?

I don't understand something.
Is it just me, or are the groupings somewhat arbitrary? I wasn't paying that much attention, but they didn't seem to be chronological. Also, if you are picking your five best contestants, it makes very little sense to stick them in some kind of bracket. Perhaps they are qualifying based

I remember that Jerry was drinking wine with that chick from Sex and the City when the toilet exploded. But yeah, I noticed that it was a pretty rare occurrence that he imbibed.

But that is just it. Cathy Ladman has been on the Tonight Show. David Feldman writes for the Daily Show and has also been on Conan. Laurie Kilmartin has been on Kimmel. At some point I think that you have to admit that these are no longer "aspiring" comedians. They're comedians.

Yeah, I was wondering that myself. I was under the impression that this was an American Idol style show where you basically had amateurs competing against each other. But Cathy Ladman has been a working and fairly well known comic for somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 years.

huh…
My girlfriend wen t to college with these guys and said they were dicks. Just saying for the sake of balance…

I was all excited
During the pilot when I saw Alan Tudyk. I was like "Awe. Some!" (two words). Then he died, and I was all "shit". And now he's back to life and I'm still like, "shit."

Did ya'll notice
The Oceanic Airlines billboard? I think there was another ad on a bus that went by as well.

I don't get it… Mr. Chabon is an exceptionally talented writer. This is like listening to home demo tapes of say… (whatever band is hip enough to make you swoon). So much raw talent, yet not completely refined. You guys are way to critical of a genius' class project that happened to be good enough to get published.
