As a Japanese Vita-owner, I found myself perfectly agreeing with much of what you said, but one line stands out as a curiosity to me: "
For handheld games in a broad sense, an iPhone or iPod Touch is far and away the best choice right now"

Very clever, although Paris will always be The City of Lights (La Ville-Lumière) to me. I found no love there :(
I liked this serial a lot, but one that really threw me is the title, as it is both generic ([blank] of [blank]) and totally misleading. At least "Let's Kill Hitler" featured Hitler. "City of Death" takes place in a regular city that is remarkably free of death.
Sazae-san is like The Simpsons only if The Simpsons were never funny to begin with. They air "classic" episodes from time and time and…yeesh.
That's fair, yeah. I just feel like this was a lazy way to skip 200 years.
I must say, I got zero sense from the events in this episode that 200 years had passed since The Doctor left Amy and Rory behind on Earth. It really threw me, in fact, when he started talking about dying soon because I remembered how much older The Doctor said he was at the start of the season before getting shot.
Pretty sure the insect invasion morphed into the Borg, so I'm satisfied with how that whole thing played out.
"'Night Terrors' was originally slated to run in the first half of the season then moved to the second. In its original slot it would have foreshadowed what was to come. Here it just seems weirdly indifferent to recent events"
This whole concept made for a decent segment of This American Life. As a TV series it's absolutely dreadful.
All there in the title
"the film skims over her VP run with startling briskness"
What's past is past
"Wouldn't this game simply be more at home, and carry more dramatic weight, on a larger screen?"
Guest Voice?
Who played that other hillbilly? Usually Trey and Matt voice everyone on the show (and make zero attempt to hide that fact), but that older britches thief sounded like Frank Welker to me.
Misadventure
You've neglected a great artist - a martial artist, that is. Bruce Lee. Had he lived, Hollywood today might have a very different outlook on Asians as lead actors. To a lesser extent, his son might have changed things too had he not died.
I am unfamiliar with this "blast" phrase, can anyone explain it's usage? Cartman didn't make must sense tonight due to his penis, er, rage issues.
Glad to hear other voices of support for the Neo Geo! It was never huge, but it outlived many a competitor.
I can't back you up on Ladykillers, but Intolerable Cruelty is a damn funny movie. It's the reason I know who Tenzing Norgay is.
I've heard of Arcade Fire before today, but I couldn't identify them or any of their work.
The fact that he directed is the main reason Picard is barely in this episode. Look back, and you'll notice that the first time a cast member directs an episode of Trek (or any show, I guess) their character suddenly spends a lot of time offscreen.
Largely Irrelevant
…but there was English in Letters to Iwo Jima. That one guy talked to their American prisoner because he was in the Olympics, and Ken Watanabe is shown in flashbacks attending dinner parties in the United States.
