Don't forget the incest, plenty of that in GoT.

A worthwhile post by Amanda Palmer, seemingly meant to be a book review which turned into a sincere reflection on her and Neil Gaiman being two artists married to each other.

That scene scarred me as a child.
Zombie Optimus Prime in the episode "Darkness Rises" didn't help much either.

Ugh. So did I. The intro credit sequence was great, and then I realized they had spent all of their budget on the intro credit sequence.

See also, Summer Catch.

I wonder if it will be possible to have Joffrey's exit be so awful that it will elicit sympathy and make the audience feel bad for wishing for his death.

You can't just send a father uncle away for his son's nephew's wedding!

It's great seeing so many comments in the Newbie thread along the lines of, "I can't wait to see assassin Arya become the destroyer of worlds!" It gives me such a warm feeling that grows from my chest, not unlike blood seeping out from my heart from an unexpected dagger…

@avclub-a6668ef0ca3092b1efab304fbf65e4e6:disqus That would be Patrick Kane, this season.

Those from the Tully's lands are called Rivers. Those from lands pledged to the Baratheons are called Storm.

And then Asimov linking HIS BOOK Nemesis into the whole thing too.

I really need to go back and re-read "The End of Eternity" and "The Gods Themselves" (also raising gender issues, as in an alien species with three-genders) as an adult. I burnt myself out on Asimov as an obsessed kid.

"Resources exist to be consumed. And consumed they will be, if not by
this generation then by some future. By what right does this forgotten
future seek to deny us our birthright? None I say! Let us take what is
ours, chew and eat our fill."

PRECAUTIONARY SPOILER
I do hope that what has to be the key performance of the PW is so agonizing that the audience feels bad for the victim, and moreover feels guilty for ever wishing ill on the victim.

SPOILERS CONTINUE:

@avclub-c1fe85b855c6d045b827f74a1e2c3fd7:disqus I might agree with you that Jon and Dany will be the ones to learn and succeed, but that implies a happy ending of some sort. If *WE* have learned anything, it is that we should not expect a happy ending from GRRM. All I am willing to wager on is that this ends the only

I was about to post that if someone else hadn't. I'm imagining the sequence of scenes of the Red Wedding, traumatizing the unsuspecting audience, then cutting to Arya seeing her brother and mother from a distance, and the audience going through the trauma of her reaction. I hope that is devastating enough for Sims.

@avclub-c6447300d99fdbf4f3f7966295b8b5be:disqus, I truly appreciate your reviews of TOS, TNG, and DS9, they and the comments therein have been very entertaining. So out of concern for your entertainment and enjoyment of your profession, I say regarding Voyager — DON'T DO IT.

@avclub-2462a76f718c97cfa773e42865b6ae51:disqus I think @avclub-21a8615938a206d4311a58a53ad8890e:disqus is okay here not being spoliery. Jamie isn't dead in the show, and from the show-only perspective, it is fair to assume that his hand getting cut off will be an interesting character point to expand and explore.

@avclub-d80126524c1e9641333502c664fc6ca1:disqus Eddington would have been above Bashir in the CoC, I think. Tenure and familiarity with Bashir wouldn't overcome Eddington's higher rank and being a security-then-seemingly-on-the-route-toward-command officer.
