The book + the fact that she's Cult Leader Expert in Charge makes me think it's just a giant red herring. There's going to be an episode where it's obvious there's an FBI mole, all signs point to her, and then TWIST it was old black guy all along!

Felt like mid season filler, especially those Doakes flashbacks. They had no plot relevance and very little thematic resonance. Which makes it even sadder that they were probably the highlight of the episode.
