Republicans are Keynesians too, but only in the most ridiculously inefficient way possible.

They also really like McCarthyism and HUAC. And profligate military spending.

Binge watched the season this weekend. I barely remembered how Season 4 left off and only half-paid attention while I puttered around the house. I'm glad I didn't put much more effort into this season than the showrunners did. It's pretty telling that I could remember who a character from Season 1 was just by their

That's a bummer. One of my favorite films of his not mentioned in the write up was The Dream Team. Again playing a sympathetic man child, this time with mental illness, he held his own against Christopher Lloyd, Michael Keaton and Peter Boyle.

So my number 1 frustration with US Olympic coverage, that they only cover Americans and events Americans compete in, will continue.

First her podcast, now this! Stop doing things, Aisha!

Putting pictures of Democratic opponents in crosshairs is the only way to let people know who to vote against!…with their 2nd amendment remedies.

It also plays to the logical fallacy that authoritarian right wingers subscribe to: most popular = most correct.

I think so. They definitely still have the highest ratio of caked on make-up to female on air personality of any of the major TV news services. I wonder if we're going to see the Fox News blonde begin to disappear now that Ailes is gone?

I got the disc from Netflix.

I watched the 2nd one last night. At one point, he takes on a comically large number of henchmen (mostly attacking one or two at a time, of course) in a failed ambush. You'd think after he kills the first 20, they'd write off the ambush plan, regroup and try something else later.

One mystery that I hope the show explains is where all the henchmen who are willing to walk into certain death come from. You'd think after John Wick kills half of a 20-man goon squad, the other half would get the idea to quit right there and go find another job.

Hey NBC. How's that decision to hire a Fox News propagandist posing as a journalist working out for you?

I don't think there'd be too much objection from anybody if they swapped out Iron Fist for her. Make it happen, Netflix!

Just ask the producers of the Real World/Road Rules Challenge.

My expectation last week that I would be slogging through this show with little enjoyment has proven true so far. As of this episode, I am actively rooting against everyone who isn't Cassie, Adam or Eddie, the latter only because he briefly had the sense to quit while they were ahead at Let's Make a Deal.

Did not know any of that regarding any of those people.

This one hurts. She's been one of my favorites since I watched Dick Tracy on an endless loop as a kid. She was often one of the best things, if not the best thing, in so many projects. Dick Tracy, Sgt. Bilko, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, ER, Mr Holland's Opus…

What I've learned from the internet is that the real tragedy of the legacy of chattel slavery, Jim Crow and institutional racism is that white people get looked askance if they say the N-word in public. Who are the real racists?!

Does anyone know when this show was filmed? I was very pleasantly surprised to see Miguel Ferrer, who is one of my favorite actors playing one of my favorite Twin Peaks characters, appear in the new series, even though he passed some time ago.
