Eh, I wasn't a big fan of David Wenham's character (I can't even remember his name) or his two idiot/sinister kids.

What Elektra movie? Who's Jennifer Garner?
As soon as Elektra exited stage right and Alexandra started monologueing, I knew Elektra was about to chop her head off or something. I love the staging of that scene. In story, the other 3 Hand had to have seen her come back in but didn't say anything as Elektra creeped up on Alexandra. In production, I chortle to…
Yeah, Mariah and Cottonmouth easily beat out Diamondback for most interesting LC villain.
I know! Right?! When I first heard/saw her pop up as Vitamin C I just assumed she was a prefabbed pop star in her early 20's with a strong team behind her to get her all these random TV show appearances all at once. But that was actually her 2nd or 3rd career reinvention and she's still going strong.
Ha ha! I had never heard of the movie and just went down a wiki wormhole for it. The first thing that struck me was the crazy cast. I also learned that Vitamin C was in the original Hairspray and had a career long before she became a minor pop music celebrity in the early 2000s.
My biggest problem with Danny Rand is that he doesn't come off as someone who could actually earn the Iron Fist. He's so immature, undisciplined and impatient that I simply can't envision him as having made it through the martial arts training.in the first place. Even if he had the most raw talent of all the other…
I'm hoping DD S3 will be Bullseye/Kingpin/Kingpin's girlfriend (seriously, she's one of my favorite parts of S1 and she's been MIA for 3 years now) and all the Hand stuff will get dropped. Except for Madam Gao. She'd rock it better as a solo villain than as part of an ensemble.
"You are the dumbest Iron Fist yet."
My hunch is that they rushed all the Hand backstory and leadership reveals for the Defenders. Since half the Defenders have already been dealing with the Hand, it's perfectly logical, if not lazy storytelling, to use them as the big bad to bring them all together. But in order to do that, they probably had to flesh…
They've showed that Gao has super mystical powers. I assume all 5 of the Hand leadership have some special abilities. We don't really see Alexandra's because she's sick and there's zero chance Sigourney Weaver is doing any stunt training.
By "caught" you mean "searched google for it"
I'm thinking that Girlboss got canceled because it got mediocre reviews, not many people watched it, and the source material (i.e. the real life girl boss) got caught up in real life drama (her company went bankrupt, etc.).
Why do you have doubts about Allen's alleged crimes?
Like he ever really left.
She later says to Jon that neither of them can change things until they have the power to do so. The question with Daenerys is will she hold to this vow once she holds all the power? Or will she start hedging and rationalizing when she begins acting like all the rulers who came before her.
For the Avengers, yes it is because of the existing 60's TV show. Not sure about the others.
I finally slogged through it a month or two after it dropped. I'd say skip it but a) I get the OCD thing. Me too. and b) there's a bunch of Madame Gao stuff in Iron Fist that it looks like you'll need to know for Defenders.
I'm betting that the disguised voice on the phone is either a) the missing man's precocious daughter, b) Trish, who knows the best way to motivate Jessica is to tell her not to do something, or c) the writer of this episode, who didn't have 3 minutes to spare to think of a better plot hook.
Yup. I also remember when he said he would've voted for McCain if he had won the nomination in 2000. He's the quintessential "centrist" who's easily duped by disingenuous but charming right wing personalities and false equivalencies.
