I'd like to go on the record and say that I enjoy Samm Levine's podcast persona/appearances. I actually tend to feel sorry for him when they pile on him too much. There's a line between being the butt/comedy heel and just being picked on.

Holy shit. I knew they were doing a Law & Order episode this season, but I had no idea they were going all out. And boy was it good. They even spoofed my favorite L&O phenomenon: witnesses conveniently having a piece of evidence within arms reach. Marry me, Megan Ganz.

Same here. In fact, AV Club continues to be the only place I've ever heard about this show. No ads, no word of mouth. Nothing.

@avclub-74f7a71ee2b66500bff752ae84ce358d:disqus You blithely asserted that he was clearly one of our greatest presidents, with no back up. Were you simply being facetious?

One of the five star reviews from Amazon:

Care to expand on what made him "great"? He:

It's fair when the man who can't mentally defend himself is still the public head and spokesman of the country's most powerful lobbying group.

"It didn't seem to occur to him at all that of course Cuba would be rolling out the red carpet for the famous documentary filmmaker and his guests, and would be treating them a lot differently that they would an average Cuban."
This is a standard conservative criticism designed to paint Moore as an oblivious stooge.

It's also cherrypicking. Notice he picks an unelected, minor figure in national politics and ignores the hundreds of actual elected and powerful Republicans who opposed supporting Britain and openly supported the Nazis.

They've been calling him an America-hating communist since 1932. And now they've so dumbed down their base that they can twist history any way they want and the base will believe them.

Ironic fact of history: if the filmmakers actually studied American history, they'd have learned that  it was Republicans who loudly protested and resisted entering WWII, because they didn't want to give up all their business with the Nazis (also, FDR was for it, so they needed to be against it).

Wish you had mentioned sooner that Jewel Staite is in this. Wouldn't have had to read the whole review to decide whether or not to watch it.

@avclub-1f25bd51dbe35ffd0319d1cfb405a223:disqus It's not the pep talks or advising that's valuable. It's the rolodex full of contacts that can bring in 7 figures of business with a few 5 minute phone calls that's valuable. Hell, most of the time they don't even need to make the calls. They just need to be around to

^ Reads waaay too much into things.

@thebadhatharry:disqus Oh god. I go there all the time. Which seat/general area was he in, so I can avoid it from now on?

It's not the first time Batman's fucked up so-called "villain"'s plans because of unjustified means to an end. All Clayface wanted was to turn back to human. So what if he had to steal a bunch of money to pay for the operation?

What? Like a couple of bros, broing out?

Robin: “Wow Lady, you’re good.” Mariam: “It’s a living.”
It's always these moments of professional admiration and communication between enemies that are my favorites. Like the sheepdog and the wolf who chitchat before clocking into work in those old Warner Bros. cartoons.

Since you're presumably already at a computer, the answer is "no".

This episode was totally Mad Men's take on the Simpsons Linguo episode.
