The "famous-actor-playing-a-caricature-of-themselves-on-a-sitcom" was first done on the late, great It's Like, You Know…, by Jennifer Grey. Coincidentally, it was also saddled with a terrible title.

Left this on in the background after HIMYM. Sad to see Josh Pais and Morgan Murphy so utterly wasted here. Oh well.
That would actually be Kevin Allison. Even though he's in NY with Wain, Showalter et al., he doesn't work with any of them much or do much outside of NY theatre. I've always wondered why that is.
Jann was always more of a behind-the-scenes guy. He's an in demand director (he directed Reno 911).
Joe's movie stealing lines quote thread
I want to see Selmy return just to see him make good on the promise of an old man easily beating a roomful of kingsguards.
Really? I think Joffrey actually feared and hated Robert. He's been a momma's boy from day one and it looks like he's always identified with the Lannister side of the family.
I still own the mid-90s VHS Star Wars remasterings AND the means to watch them. Also, they went through several editions. The last one was the DVD box set from a couple of years ago (wherein Greedo shoots first).
He returned to King's Landing hating the Starks. And given that he's basically a spoiled child with a shotgun, it could've been a simple imagined slight that set him off. Maybe he's jealous of the attention and sympathy Bran's getting. Maybe the assassin was supposed to go after Arya and got it wrong. Who knows?
"some sensuality" = Anne Hathaway's bare back (and maybe side boob) as she either suits up or lays down with Batman. Or maybe just strutting around in a skintight leather body suit is enough for the MPAA to get hot and bothered.
At least her constant harping on Joan to be a "good wife" will cease now, right? As long as she doesn't start playing matchmaker or browbeat her about reconciling with Greg.
A rule for defining good films is "3 good scenes, no bad ones". While the Peggy/Roger and Joan/Greg stuff was good, there's still the bad Don/fever dream scenes.
I don't know. I'm liking the new "Shakedown Artist" Peggy a lot.
@avclub-9ff7c9eb9d37f434db778f59178012da:disqus Can you cut out this?:
I came to the conclusion last season that Bran's attempted killer is Joffrey. Lannisters are the only ones with motivation (I don't think Joffrey's is the incest secret; he just took an instant dislike to the Starks and is a sadistic psychopath) and he's the only Lannister stupid enough to give the assassin such a…
@avclub-9ff7c9eb9d37f434db778f59178012da:disqus Oh my god. Why do you not shut up already about the spoilers? Do you see how I scrubbed my other comment in this thread so no one would by spoiled by the context clues? Well you just basically reposted it.
MILD, POSSIBLE SPOILER-ING was BELOW, now cleared out.
I don't know too many Disney princesses, even the tomboys, who've run other kids through with their swords. Arya's already a killer.
@avclub-7cf12ec23b16390f64b0f52e65a7ac1d:disqus Yeah, I'm thinking the Dany/Jon/Tyrion army vs. White Walkers battle and its aftermath will be the end of the series. This season, and possibly the next 3-4 seasons, will all be people fighting over the throne. And that war will barely be settled when Dany and her…
I'm hoping for a bit of cosmic irony and having Stannis, the "rightful" king, end up winning the war and becoming king after all.
At least it gets the comment count and page views up.
