Aside from a handful of players, the play was atrocious. Phil Gordon was not doing a bit when he was tearing his hair out over the awful betting and decision making.

I think Bob and David are harder on it because of their personal experiences working on it. The movie was basically stolen from them by its director, who until then was a close friend and colleague who'd worked on the Mr. Show series. The only thing I remember about Versatile Toppings is guessing the culprit and her motive right away. I don't know if it was too heavily telegraphed or if I'm just empathetic to the partners of closeted people, but I picked up on it as soon as it was revealed that one girl was out and the other wasn't.

It sounds a bit like the Kevin Pollack Chat Show game of Who Tweeted? Except there they give you three celebrities to pick from and encourage the guests to be super, overly competitive, which is the best way to run a comedy game.
