Yes! I love this song so much. I'm not crazy about Evan Weiss' vocals for it, but its a fine cover. Arbor Christmas is really great too, its cool to see it plugged here.

I love RTJ 1 and 2, but don't think either have come close to topping Cancer 4 Cure. That record is just front to back the best, most immersive beats El-P has done in my book.

Shit, I had no idea their singer left. Not that I'm excited for a new record or anything, but I saw them in 2011 (I guess before he left) and they really blew me away. I wasn't expecting much, seeing as it was 30+ year old band with a completely new rhythm section, but they were super high energy and just a ton of fun.

Of the many incredible things about this song, one of my favorites is the way it paraphrases the Biggie line about "giving ends to my friends and it feels stupendous." I never noticed it for the longest time, and its both a very funny repurposing of the line, and also exactly what the former star running back would be

When I felt such love for you I thought my heart was gonna pop!

Thats an awesome haul you got there. My best find of the past year or so was an original pressing of Seams' Sweat Pea 7" (my favorite Seam song in the first place) for 2 bucks.

A friend of mine has an Ocolus prototype/beta from contributing to their kickstarter campaign, and while its still much more "being inside a video game" than VR, its pretty damn cool. He has a program where you explore the boiler room from Spirited Away, which is super fun.

They're also as close to two favorite bands as I could name, and I totally agree with your assessment. Darnielle's best work gives you the feeling that his lyrics are just unspooling suddenly and urgently, as if he's giving you his first take, even though the words have of course been labored over and edited.

I'm gonna echo the above sentiments, I really enjoyed the interview, thanks for doing it!

Wait, did you actually go to a high school without walls? I'm just curious, how did that work? Did you have a woodshop or metalshop? Was it impossible to learn calculus when the band saw was being used? I'm not snarking, just legitimately curious.

I had a budgie but it diiiiiiiiied!

Too Many Dicks on the Dance Floor is a stone cold classic too. Overall I think it breaks down as stronger episodic writing in season 2, stronger songwriting in season 1. Either way, both are solid gold in my book.

Its so sad that the Deftones are still associated with nu metal to the point that this thing leads with a cover of the amazing "Be Quiet and Drive."

This implies that you weren't totally impressed with Iron Maiden previously to now, which clearly shows you don't respect harmonized guitar riffs enough.

2 > 1 > 3 > 7 > 5 > 4 > 6

That all came to a head gloriously in the finale too. His hysterical attempts to get people to notice he was going to kill himself, and his instant resignation when Paula and his kids find him was great.

Stranger Than Fiction is such an underrated movie. There's some weak parts of the script (the quirky baker who also went to Harvard! The troubled writer who drinks vodka from the bottle and buys three packs of cigarettes at once!) but its just so likeable. Plus its got that super charming scene where he buys her

Maybe if they finally get those college girls on the show they'll cheer up and do season 2.

Rogue Squadron 3 was totally worth it for having all of Rogue Leader available as co-op though. Holy crap that was fun to play through with a friend.

They've blown up in the punk scene, and I could see how a label like Epitaph could see them going even further than that because of their insanely catchy hooks.
