I listened to this song probably three hundred times as a kid. Made me laugh, every. single. time.

What an utterly frustrating show, with its contrast of really good (totally wasted) and really bad elements. Most of the ensemble characters are really fun, well acted, and play well off each other. But the exceptions are core players in the story's long-term arc: Kendra, Rip, Savage and Kufu (or whatever that guy's

You could've predicted it was going to be full of unnecessary words when the heading said "compare and contrast".

That sounds like John Lithgo alright.

Those Nest cams don't miss much, do they.

JOHN, a 54 year-old Willem Dafoe-type, smiles menacingly as his face comes into focus from just beyond JANE's bedroom window

I'm all for a female late show host, but why does this show qualify as "late night"? I thought "late night" was 11pm or later? This is a weekly comedy filmed in front of a live audience. Does this mean Tosh.0 is "late night"?

Plus, Paul Rudd is great in it.

The Ridiculous 6 is a "crime against humanity" that earned no fresh tomatoes - except that it almost did, from the AV Club, which gave it a C (just shy of the B- required for a fresh rating).

This completely justifies Great Job Internet's existence.

I think this is more or less right. Goldmember has more original jokes / concepts than Spy. But it's not better because of it.
I take it back. On further reading down the thread, Spy had more original elements than I remembered. Goldmember sucks, let me just leave it at that.

Knowing what we know now about Kanye, don't you kind of question his sincerity in doing something that just so happened to make him the centre of attention?

Tom Hanks? With all due respect to the AV Club, I think you're vastly over-stating the caliber of the 11 questions interviewees. The biggest star who was interviewed with that question last year was Victor Garber.

I like the first question a lot, but it is super awkward when you don't follow up on the answer.
Q: "What's a question you'd like me to ask you?"
A: "I just wish someone would ask me about [X], for once"
Q: "That's nice. Well, my next question is [Y]"

I remember when I figured that out. I was furious. What is the "In" even doing there? If you put a pre-fix in front of a word, I'm going to assume that it modifies what the word means. So, then, not flammable, right? Sort of like how "immortal" is the opposite of "mortal"? But no.

I think Tom has clearly struggled with defining the "Action" genre (as exemplified by the fact the next entry will be "a Western", despite Tom saying in the quote above that Western's were a different genre). I'm guessing he'll describe it as a "hybrid".

What happened to that guy?

He's everywhere! All the possibilities I thought of, an oddly that wasn't one of them. Thanks Joe Random!

Question, particularly for those who've kept up with the comments: What do you make of that scene where Scully almost ran someone over with her truck?

I feel like maybe you're confusing it with IV, which takes place on Earth (which has several funny moments). V is the centre of the universe one. It's utterly devoid of humour, to the best of my recollection (maybe the cold open had some gags in it? I remember nothing funny).
