I have more faith in the AV Club's editorial integrity than most websites, but it's hard for me to take anything it says about Andy Daly's Review at face value, when the website was plastered top to bottom in Review advertising for at least two weeks straight, a while back. And then sure enough the thing gets more

I really liked the movie, but Carrie Fischer's acting was distinctly a cut below. Harrison Ford crushed every scene he was in.

If that musical choice for the trailer is any indication, this TV show is going to be terrible. Holy cow does that strike a terrible tone for a family comedy. It's the equivalent of the Rod Stewart theme song for Enterprise. If you want to play on nostalgia, give me the original theme, or at least a variation of it.

WRONG. THIS MOVIE IS AN A+.
I HAVEN'T SEEN IT AND HAVEN'T READ THE REVIEW BUT I'M A FAN AND THEREFORE I TALK IN ALL CAPS AND ANYONE WHOSE OPINION I DON'T LIKE IS WRONG

It's your birthday, I'll let it pass.

No, I won't, I get you later.

If I Could Turn Back Time would have at least been plot relevant.

This so rarely happens, and it unfortunately deprives me of the opportunity to be sarcastic and cruel, but this actually is a Great Job Internet. This is funny.

That's interesting. They stopped crediting the authors on the articles themselves a couple weeks in. I wonder if you found a loophole.

It's two sites to visit, so minor inconvenience, but there's such a high volume of vintage O'Neal at Star Wipe that I can't be mad at all. I think even the other writers have caught onto his humour, in a way that the other AV Club staff never managed. It really is a great site.

Dean Blandino, is that you?

You clearly know what you're talking about, but isn't this just 5 different variations of the basic rule that charitable donations are tax deductible? There's nothing nefarious about that - it's standard public policy in many countries, to incentivize charitable donations. It's also economically efficient. 100% of a

Umm. So. Now that you've described the characters and the plots, can you tell us if it's any good? I guess we have a "B-" score headlining things, but there's a bizarre lack of opinion on whether this show is worth watching.

I can't pretend I didn't laugh at that joke in the movie, but in all fairness, a joke about a foreigner struggling with the English language isn't exactly Star Trek at its progressive finest.

Person of Interest is in the pipe. Not saying I'd want it to come back at the expense of Supergirl, but there are options open to CBS.

It's also a canary in the coalmine for the Ham Rove demographic

I wouldn't think of it like an investment. It's more like pre-ordering something that hasn't been made yet, to make it possible to get made. But since there's no guarantees, there's also a charitable element, of just showing your support for something.

When I heard the name, I got him confused with the other guy from Nerdist, Matt Mira. I was relatively excited about that, and was disappointed when I figured out it was the other guy. I don't know if Mira has the right comedic skills, but he's a much more likeable human being than Jonah.

Wait a minute, I am also an intellectual property lawyer named Will … I'm being copied! That's a patent infringement of my trademark rights. If only Walt Disney was still alive, there would be something I could do about it.

So, basically, Tango & Cash, but with a much older actor and (somehow) a more convoluted plot. And probably less boobs. So pass.

My thoughts exactly. My bet is that they were planning to have someone do an imitation of the Genie character voiced by Williams, but that some lawyer advised them they would almost definitely get sued for it (even if you're only impersonating a celebrity, you're still exploiting their personality).
