It didn't "outdo" that ending, but certainly called to it. "What's in the trunk?"

I just needed to comment that your review's title could not be more perfect. Great writeup, too. Thanks for sharing. Agreed that the resurrection was a kick in the ass for Sud. I actually found myself counting all the ways in which they have seemed to give in to the more resounding critical commentary (the significant

Ah! Thank you for confirming re: Mrs. Ruiz. I knew I recognized her! I'll second your recommendation for that movie. Definitely a good one.

I know I'm late to reply on this, but I finally got to watch the pilot. I'm loving Bichir in this so far. I always found him charming on Weeds despite his character, but he hooked me with "A Better Life". Happy he'll be on my TV for several weeks. He's been a great contrast to Sonya so far and I'm looking forward to

My dream situation is pretty much that she moves to Chicago for Jack, and Holder follows.

OK…dying. I didn't load the video (was at work), just quickly clicked link to make sure it was the song. Watching it now…hilarious.

I don't even watch this show, but the ep title compelled me to come to the comment section. You did not disappoint. I actually saw this band live. Crazy as you'd expect. This song is forever burned into my memory after awkwardly watching the relevant scene in Lost In Translation with my mother. I insisted she watch

I saw a theory on Twitter that I am really liking, and you're barking up the wrong prison guard's tree if that theory is correct.

This has been my "thing" all along, which is probably why I still loved S1-2 when everyone else was "Fuck You"ing the show. The great working relationships and the delicately constructed friendship between Holder and Linden is 100% "The Show" as far as I'm concerned. Yes, obviously the plot itself has to be compelling

That is a great relief.

Loved the hoodie, but the magic if TV sure does make it easy to switch out of suit pants and into jeans behind a vehicle in 10 seconds flat.

@olivececile:disqus  Switch your double-a placement and you're gold.

Seimetz has been great with what little she's been given so far. Really enjoyable to watch (and not just because she is very pretty).

I'm the resident apologist for this show, but I still find the snark pretty funny and a bit deserved. Try not to take it too seriously.

No, it doesn't. Season 3 is a wholly original storyline (for better or worse).

Agreed, @NephewOfAnarchy:disqus. Hannibal Lecter has been a pop culture icon far too long to assume that was a potshot at the current series on NBC, and placing it beside a John Doe reference made it clear Skinner was simply referencing fictional serial killers.

I respectfully disagree. There's definitely a difference between suffering through it on a week-by-week basis vs. being able to fly through it on Netflix or other media. I think there's some quality history to be gleaned from the detectives' partnership in the first two seasons. There isn't nearly as much weight

Well, yes, I concede that was more than a little bit ridiculous…

I think I may be the only person on this site who actually enjoys this show. I find it's easy to laugh off/forget the stupid red-herring bullshit when I focus on the interplay between the two leads. I embrace their idiosyncrasies, but I understand why the gum-chewing/sweater-wearing gets the sarcasm it does.

I had a good laugh at it. The meta was strong with that one.
