I tend to prefer the Weird Al version, "I bought it on Ebay." It also captures the zeitgeist of the early aughts.

Speed 2? But it was the same girl twice.
The Simpsons Sing the Blues was the first CD I ever bought. Yes, I'm that huge of a nerd. But I didn't even know this one existed, somehow. Guess my nerd level dropped a little. I'm ok with that.
Justin Timberlake is so great on his own that no one cares that NSYNC will never get back together….except for the other four guys in NYSNC. They all wish they could have joined the Backstreet Boys instead.
I, too, just finished Film Study 101 and then read some Wikipedia articles.
Another one is
The Exciters, "He's Got The Power." I discovered it entirely by accident on a random CD of 60s girl groups. Kinda fucked up. Here it is on Youtube: http://youtu.be/MOu5jM_un3Q
I like
That Moby song in the first Bourne film.
Hey, it worked for Clerks: the Animated Series.
scary
My mom used to listed to the Judds when I was a kid, so I am a tiny bit familiar with what the two of them look like….but I still stared at that picture for two minutes trying to figure out which was the mother and which was the daughter. Yikes.
LONGMONT!
Dear Josh Modell,
oddly enough
I actually saw this movie in the theater. I was about 17 and for some reason my mom and I thought it would be a good idea. After it ended, we sort of looked at each other, chuckled a bit, walked out of the theater, and never spoke of it again.
Don't be pretentious.
I dislike the use of the word "chanteuse."
True story
Apparently, Brian Dietzen went to high school with my sister, so she and I watched this movie together and then vowed to never again engage in such foolishness.
You beat me to it….I was hoping this movie would have oil changes. Lots and lots of slightly unnerving dad-sticking-an-oil-can-into-Astro-Boy's-butt-over-and-over-oil changes. I am afraid I will be disappointed.
hum.
I feel weird that I started loving Wallace and Gromit in the 6th grade. Now I feel old.
Weird.
Sprite comes in green bottles, so it's already sort of green, so a new product called "Sprite Green" seems redundant, but then I just get confused, and so I go drink more booze.
That is truly wonderful.
Music
Bob Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash. The entirety of the Motown sound. And so many others.
Emperor Jim, I just love your icon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Danny Elfman
is the greatest.
