Bullshit. Starting with the second episode, the show and characters began to grow in completely their own way.  The British show (the entire run of which is 12 episodes and a special) was always much darker, and more sexual even.

This entire episode was a tossed salad of derivation and rehash. A-?

So you were on reddit all day instead or working before you suddenly realized you had a deadline, and this was the result.

As strong as it started, there were moments when the show started to veer, at which point I figured ridiculous plot points like a murder cover-up were inevitable.
