It's like one of those horror movies that is so good at building dread that everyone remembers it as way bloodier than it actually was.

I've wondered recently how the US version would have been if Bob Odenkirk had gotten the part of Michael. While his "frustrated dad" quality is kind of disarming, I think he has a greater penchant for transgressive, uncomfortable humor and probably would have played the character a little closer to the UK version in

Getting a very Tim and Eric vibe from the header image.

You can't print that.

Oh my god, of course! I'm going to parrot this to everyone I know, now.

Oh my god, please please please!

Whenever I'm in a bad mood, or I'm bored, I just think the words "Jack Black as Paul McCartney" and my day is instantly brightened.

That first big village fight is SUPER hard on your first playthrough, but I love how it throws you into the deep end and really doesn't tell you what to do or what to expect; it makes a scripted setpiece fight feel emergent and personal, because you're not sure what to do or expect.

Please be safe, G!

Started on Flow My Tears, The Policeman Said. I'm too early on in the book to really have an opinion yet, but PKD's influence on the cyberpunk genre really interests me so I have high hopes.

From one perspective it is kind of sad that a quote unquote comedy show host is one of the better news sources today, but I'm genuinely glad John Oliver is out there doing what he's doing and I sleep a little sounder for it.

You win. Everyone else can stop now.

Yeah! Weird, I remembered Neil wearing sunglasses, too.

It's the dumbest joke in the world, but I always laugh at this one picture of Neil Young wearing sunglasses and sitting next to a floppy-eared dog who is also wearing sunglasses, with the caption "Neil Young with his longtime collaborator, David Crosby."

*bro chant* TOMMY GETS HIS TONSILS OUT. TOMMY GETS HIS TONSILS OUT.

I want to read about the Mats but I'm usually wary of music books; I've heard a lot about this one, though!
