I was sort of referring to the easy targets (Deadmau5, Tiesto, Avicii, Hardwell, Afrojack, Skrillex) in the EDM scene who have a ridiculous amount of popularity. Now if you enjoy that type of music, to each his own and I harbor no ill will, but personally, the music they're producing literally all sounds the same to

I listened to Random Access Memories and holy fucking shit is it amazing. RAM is a stunning and exhilarating record. It's a giant middle finger to the monotonous music coming out of the EDM community from arguably the biggest and most influential of all EDM artists. It's sonically beautiful, perfectly paced, and

What a bunch of ass ramming uncle fuckers.

That was my plan. I know "In the Loop" is only tangentially connected to "The Thick of It", but I still want to watch the TV show before the movie.

"Veep" has been so amazing lately that I think I may have to start immediately watching "The Thick of It" in addition to "In the Loop".

TOP 5:
1) Remedial Chaos Theory
2) Advanced Dungeons & Dragons
3) Paradigms of Human Memory
4) Cooperative Calligraphy
5) Modern Warfare

One of the funniest things I've ever seen at any concert ever was at a Shellac show at ATP. I can't find it on YouTube, so I will dramatically recreate the dialogue verbatim.

I watched Skyfall with my dad. Can somebody explain to me (*** SPOILERS ***) how the fuck Bond lives after taking a bullet to the chest, falling over a hundred feet into water, and then down a waterfall just for good measure? And someone he manages to live? It's a cool plot twist, but it's one where they should,

I thought I'd be laughing it up the entire video, but it was genuinely moving to see them take on each question earnestly. I know Thom hates doing press (thankfully he seems to be more mellow these days), but good for him (and Nigel) for tackling something as bonkers as answering question from teenage girls and

I haven't stopped listening to this album since it came out. It's so goddamn good. Each track is superb, each side is well paced (between the dance and ambient stuff - Old Dreams and Fluid Injection are long but dense and full of detail. Patience is a virtue.) This is just a stellar fucking album from start to finish.

My mom is going to be so disappointed when she learns the news. "I like Jay Leno," she once remarked to me. "His chin is weird, but I like when he does the street walking thing." "It's called Jaywalking, Mom." "See? That's so clever!"

I logged in - a long, time consuming, ten second process - just to give this an F.

Please recover the script. I really don't want to avoid the internet for five months.

I'll watch some of Conan's online bits…generally don't watch his show anymore, unless someone really good is on (last episode I watched was Mel Brooks, I think.) I'm a lifelong Conan fan, and he still produces a good show, but it's not something I need to watch every week.

Late Night replacement wishes GO GO GO!

I suppose I'm being a little rough on him. I think Chandler Riggs is solid in the role, but I like him better when the writers craft his dialogue to be a sweet kid who's seen some fucked up shit (his little scene with Rick last week about him stepping down as leader is a good example of utilizing Carl) rather than him

Smart-O-Meter! Less characters means less stupid people! Hooray!

Seldom do I question O'Neal's excellent choice of photos for Newswire articles, but I'm really, really bored at work.

No Smart-O-Meter tonight. Sorry. But my friend who watched the episode texted me and said ghost Lori appears and that Hershel says "T-Dog" in a sentence so I can't imagine people made smart decisions this evening.

I really loved this article. Chris Gethard is awesome. His book is great, his show is great, and I hope his work gets more recognized in the future - both by fans and the people who run show business.
