I'm excited to hear it compared to The Avengers. Question: would you say it's equally kid-friendly? If I'm okay with my kid watching Avengers, will this one pretty much be the same level of absurd fantasy violence and lack of real gore or big scares?

I think it'll be pretty good. Marvel does a good job with these movies, and hopefully they can rise above the absence of Dum Dum Dugan to tell us a good story.

FIRS——- What? DAMN YOU, REED RICHAAAAAAAAARDS!

No, she was gonna be one of the giant Chitari monsters that floats around. That wink is what she does when Hulk punches her.

Is schwarma kind of a big thing in NY? I live in Iowa, and I tell you I am really looking forward to a few years from now when schwarma makes it over here, whatever it is. If it's anything at all like falafel…

"I almost got to play Wonder Woman in that Avengers movie, but my agent sucks. I would have made such a good Wonder Woman, I look great in green."

I almost played Hulk, but the filmmakers had a problem with the fact that I chose to audition in front of my bathroom mirror.

Whenever I see any kind of old school sitcom establishing shot with a brief musical cue, I always think, "Coach is filmed in front of a life studio audience."

I'd probably be pretty cool if I knew what you were talking about, but the truth is my first ever comment on the AV Club was under the temporary guest handle CornAndTators because it also had something to do with being from Iowa or growing up rural. I decided to stick with it.

I think I know what Weibo is. I've been on it since before it was even Chinese. ::eyeroll::

There's lots of cool things about Iowa. All my stuff is there, for instance.

"Wolverine and the All-New Girls" is pretty good so far too.

::scoff:: It's called Weibo.

They tried to entice him out with a camcorder and some cheap beads.

Speaking of Girls Gone Wild, their bus came to Iowa City once. They ran over a bicyclist at the intersection of Clinton and Burlington and have been banned from the city ever since. (The bicyclist was okay, but pinned under the bus for some time before he could be extracted.)

You have to write something to distinguish it from the rest of the Girls media empire. I generally just refer to it as "Girls: A New Hope," and the rest of the spin-off media as "Ultimate Girls."

I love that museum so much! Don't forget the kick-ass Devonian diorama with the dunkleosteus.

There's a Sex and the City episode like that.

I hear you. Then again, I live in Iowa, and I have a - probably unfair - characterization of young New Yorkers as people who live in a giant shopping mall, congratulate each other on how cool they are, and spend $50 bucks a night every weeknight in bars.

They should just do what Coach did and film a handful of establishing shots of U of Iowa campus buildings and use them for years.
