Another suggestion to rent it or catch it on TV before buying. I enjoyed Angel for the most part but Buffy will always be the better series in my eyes. That said Lorne is absolutely one of the top 5 characters in either series.
I was surprised too to learn that he was so young. Lorne seemed older than 33 human years. I loved his character. He stole every show he was in and provided a lot of the genuine heart of the series. R.I.P.
Or 2.36 litres of addictivity if you're one of those metric freaks.
The only time I hear about the Groundlings is in articles like these - interviews with actors who went through the program and are now famous or well-known. But it's the same thing with Second City or any other "gateway" performance group. It's not like there's a huge media saturation going on here.
@Stalin: you're on your own on that one. I actually don't have any cable or broadcast myself. I'm strictly a DVD/online watching thing.

"was it her fault that Fallon and Sanz couldn't keep it together for any single sketch? "
"Liar! The WSJ has no funnies."
So close. So very close.
Don't forget AdBlock Plus.
Ah. I notice most people leave during the credits but there's always a few that stick around to the very end. I'm usually one of those. Especially now that filmmakers have taken to putting in "easter eggs" at the very end of the credit roll.
Firefox + AdBlock Plus. Can't recommend it enough. Blissful Larry-free web surfing.
A few walkouts
I saw it late afternoon on Sunday (regular screen not IMAX). Not a sellout crowd but pretty full theater. There were a couple of walkouts but I noticed more people simply transferring their attention to their cell phones after awhile. Particularly with the scenes between Laurie and and Dr. Manhattan on…
"I think just about everyone stayed through to very the end of the credits. And that was kinda creepy."
A friend of mine has done that as well - walk out of a movie 10 - 20 minutes in and asked for a refund. She said the theaters are actually pretty reasonable and will usually just give your money back no questions asked.
Sounds more like the blame is on your lousy company. At least you can still visit the AV Club though right? Silver linings and all that?
"The term is technically inaccurate … "
Damn those undisclosed side effects.
