@avclub-1d04064d540beb34e0cc414561bc6f35:disqus . "I am sure you are a very important person with many leather-bound books and an apartment that smells of rich mahogany." I deserved that.

He's not really a cable guy either. And his name ain't Larry.

Obvious Troll is Obvious

@avclub-1d04064d540beb34e0cc414561bc6f35:disqus Nice try, but nope.

It's the only one of the podcasts mentioned here that I can think of where no-guest is good news.

This might be a good time to alert those who don't know yet that You Look Nice Today has posted a new episode after a two year hiatus.

Thanks @avclub-c3121fa95cd6bc24f771b66449a2142c:disqus , just listened to that again. Yup. Hot Dog's still got it.

I loved this episode. How can you put the Listler and Wompler duo in the same category as the Fred Savage fan couple? These ladies were wonderful.

Hot Dog doo-wopping as he fell out the window is probably the funniest thing I have ever heard on a podcast.

Was he the Prime Minister who patted the Queen of England on her bum? Good times. Good times.

like this?

Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree
Merry merry king of the woods is he
Laugh kookaburra, laugh
How gay your life must be

No eye rolling here. Good songs. By the way, I met Bragg once in a small group setting. Everyone else was too nervous to talk with him, but I had not (at the time) heard any of his stuff so I was not awestruck and we chatted away happily. Nice guy and not at all irretrievably self-involved or self-righteous.  Also,

Yes, but did he bring her groceries in?

All three participants on the Kevin Lee episode of Stop Podcasting Yourself were in top form. Not sure if Lee's instant self-deprication is schtick or what, but by golly its funny.

GhaleonQ's suggestions are excellent. On an American front I thought 'Magnolia' was one of the most Christian movies I have ever seen. Also 'The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada'. Neither written by Christians as far as I know but way more legitimately Christian in their portrayal of grace and redemption than any

@Watcho:disqus . Amen brother. The tendency for everyone to treat "Christian" as synonymous with "Right-wing American" is understandable I guess, but only if you do not have any sense of global geography, history, population demographics, politics or theology.
But hey ho.

Hey Shrike - ironic you of all people said you can't risk it.  "Subtle, sophisticated, open-minded, and courageously non-judgmental… even non-believers can enjoy."

Mr Potter and the Something of Something, I read Catch-22, I knew Catch-22, Catch-22 was a friend of mine. Mr Potter, you're no Catch-22.

Why are you surprised? If I may say so, you are showing a typical right-wing prejudice against publicly supported cultural endeavours there @GhaleonQ:disqus .
