Jesse, am I right in thinking one of the unique things your MaxFun group does to earn some money are the 'Jumbotron' and 'personal ads' features? I love the way that listeners can reach out to others who they already know are like-minded. I know it helps to forge closer fan communities, but does it bring in much cash?
You can download class? I'll have 'upper middle' please.
On his old BBC 6 Music show Joe Cornish (of Attack the Block fame) used to talk occasionally about how he was writing the screenplay for Ant-Man. Is he still attached to this do you think? Could be v. good if so.
"this was the first time ComicCon has allowed a documentary crew to work there".
WHA HAPPEN?
I hope this doesn't awaken anything in me…
Wait, aren't comics just for kids?
@GhaleonQ:disqus Yep. That is exactly how I found out about Dark Place - I traced it back through an interview I read with Richard Ayode and the other I.T. Crowd, er, crowd.
Incidentally, Daniel Kitson is incredible and everyone should check him out if possible. His solo-shows, I mean, not his stuff with Phoenix…
I wasn't trying to do a 'thing'. But watch the B.o.B video. See? Stuff White People Like.
I said they seem like smart people, not pretentious assholes. There is a difference.
yup
B.o.B., “So Good" = Stuff White People Like
I doubt even Stewart Lee would agree that he is 'famous'.
I see your Gary Busey episode and raise you a Mass Lemming Suicide of Every Andy Daley Character.
Agree. I live in the UK but only discovered Dark Place relatively recently. It really did not get much of an airing over here at the time.
I just heard Jesse Thorn as an announcer on BBC Radio 4.
Can I just say how nice it was to hear Cera and Maron talk about books? After a steady diet of comedy podcasts with smart people who seem embarrassed about being smart, it is nice to hear the opposite once in a while.
Yorick is dead, alas!
What do you mean 'hastily removed'? I see the Battlestar Galactica: Blood And Chrome trailer all the time. In my head. On my own. In times of stress or impending doom. I think it might be an angel.
