But she's had threats to her job before - or at least I think she has, though I can't remember specifics right now. She's certainly had public campaigns of intimidation and bad headlines designed to make her lose face with the public and be unable to get anything done… it just didn't feel like a sufficiently big new

@poopieface:disqus No, I agree there's not much (if anything) you could put in a bottle and tip up and drink and not die that could actually contain zero water. But I did find 'HOW THE FUCK IS IT LIQUID?' to be a question too far.

The main problem I had with this episode wasn't the cringeworthiness of Ben or the clownishness of Pawnee, but the fact that Leslie would ever doubt herself on something like this. I get that she's working in a slightly bigger arena now and is nervous about her new job and all, but it just seemed like an entirely

I generally agree with you. I wasn't sure I even wanted to comment on this because of some of the 'discussions' I've seen other comments on previous pieces about her descend to. It's easy to want to defend someone just because they get viciously attacked for reasons entirely unrelated to their music or conduct.

It's weird, I don't actually hate her narcissism so long as it doesn't hurt other people. In fact, I think narcissists generally make quite good introspective songs, for obvious reasons. (I'm also a huge fan of Michael Stipe's lyrics, for similar reasons I suspect.)

No, the tour was specifically intended to be self-funding. The rest of it, yes - album promotion and overheads were included. If she'd failed to pay her office staff or the mailing company or other such people, I'd be much more annoyed.

Not exactly - or not the way I read it. A few of the reward levels and special bits and bobs relied on the fact that she'd be touring to enable them - special little gigs on the side for backers, or home invasions when she was in the right country to do them, etc. But the way I read the kickstarter was that it was
