Isn't "Brown Sound" the term for the low frequency note that causes one to involuntarily release their bowels?

"Red! Red! I want Red. There's no substitute for Red.
Red! Paint it Red! Green ain't mean compared to Red!"

Yep - it's not a popular technique for the "rapey asshole" to try and talk a woman into having sex with them.

Are the Ramones really overrated though? Most people I know who like them consider them a great party band - kind of like a Van Halen for punkers.

I have heard some "classic" albums on multi-track where you can isolate the vocal"s" (many times the lead vocal is doubled or even tripled). I was surprised to discover many stand alone lead vocal tracks did not sound that great (most surprising Bohemian Rhapsody). The one that sounded best: Stevie Wonder.

All those Grunge bands loved the Meat Puppets too.

I think they owe most of their success to Slash.

Ted Nugent is another, If he only played lead guitar to someone else's music and just shut-up he would have had more critical acclaim (but probably less money).

The landings are rough though.

I kind of agree with it - he is competent for the band he is in but he's no Tommy Aldridge.

Circus magazine was what you had to buy back then for info on those bands.

Van Hagar songs sound like they were written specifically to become future beer and truck commercials.

They should just do like Pitchfork and delete any old reviews that disagree with their modern sentiments.

I really like his tone on A Farewell to Kings - before he discovered his chorus pedal.

Zappa has a song on Shut Up and Play Your Guitar called "Variations on the Carlos Santana Secret Chord Progression"

*Gets 5 Star review in Rolling Stone and wins the Pulitzer*

No wonder you still have herpes with that attitude!

China My China has the greatest typewriter solo in the history of rock!

Lego my Eggo

This makes a case similar to a video mash-up posted last year by a Nashville musician.
