Tom Waits has a nice version on Blue Valentine.

"Don't Splooge on the Electric Fence".

When my daughter was 5 I found her crying one day. When I asked her why she said, "You're going to die some day". That's how important I was once upon a time….

"Rush?"

Their song "National Holiday" is full of Pop Sarcasm.

"He gets High on School Spirit (with a little help from his friends)"

It seems you need to live near a university in order to have a good used book store. When I first moved to the town I live in now (about 30 miles from Nashville) 5 years ago, there were two used book stores & one record store. They have all since gone out of business & now the only place to buy books and CD's locally

I have both the Captain Beyond records - the first is more of a hard rock effort but the second "Sufficiently Breathless" has a Santana meets Floyd sound. Everything is a Circle & Bright Blue Tango are great songs in this "genre".

That incarnation of King Crimson is absolutely my favorite but those box sets are a little to pricey for me. But if I wait a few years they should come down (I got The Great Deceiver for $40 a couple years ago and still listen to it obsessively) - they are one of the best live bands of all time.

"Free Housing at Ground Zero" - You're welcome Obama!

As someone who has read the book & seen all the adaptations, I understood what he was saying there.

"Papa Oom Mow Mow"!

Waking up as a wild ape-man on hallucinogens just screams "Christmas!"

Unless they freeze you like Walt Disney or Han Solo.

This is a manly look:

So they can be the first to tell you it sucks. Its the same impulse your one cousin has to be the first to inform everyone that Grandma is dead.

Gulf of Tonkin!

I'm sure we will be seeing the conspiracy theorists go on about how this is all a false flag plot to get Americans angry enough to support an invasion of North Korea.

"Um Sir, you do realize you are at the library".

When I was born that first hour seemed to last forever. By the end of the day time was really moving because I had 24 hours now to compare my life to.
