The best advice I've ever taken is when I was feeling depressed over my life was to "go volunteer at a shelter or food kitchen". It really works.

"Having your shit together" is what happens right before life throws you a curve ball.

In the early 80's there were used record stores where you could buy good vinyl for $1 - it was the best of times. My near mint Captain Beyond record still has the $1 sticker on the plastic slip case it came in.

Had to quit playing music in my twenties to have time for my family and long hours at work to support them. Mid forties got laid off from long time job, kids have grown up so I moved to Nashville and joined a band. I'm poor as hell but enjoying my life more than ever. It's never too late to live the life you always

Larry would pound him into the ground.

Mine too but it was in Los Angeles.

"Spinning whirling still descending like a spiral seaeaeaaaaaaaa!"

I figure any insurance they try to get will be rejected because this was "an act of God."

I for one will not allow that film in my home! There are children living here (and not just the ones tied up in the basement)!!

Abby Road would be perfect without it.

IIRC - this song was originally written at the request of Timothy Leary for his "movement" but did not go over well once he heard the final result.

I was 13 - what the hell else was I supposed to fuck!

The Tab episode made me want a Tab (and that drink was disgusting).

That's actually a pretty good description!

Except South Korea is the one that already has Stormtroopers.

All Presidents should have to wear an Andrew Jackson wig for the duration of their term. That guy had some bad ass hair (do with that what you will).

Would have said the same thing about McConaughey three years ago (replace slapstick with romcom)

But Ginger's got what Ails you!

"Meet the new boss, same as the old boss."

Yes! I make these little lists myself from the critics and the commentariat that help me search out films for the coming year (I don't get out to the theater a lot). Thank you everyone.
