I've got some theories about all these

It's actually embarrassing how proud of myself I am for suspecting that Shelby was Drew Thompson early on. But I just feel so vindicated!

Who else is watching TV in the UK? Lots of new things in March! Most notably, the return of The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret.

I'm more entertained by good performances than by glamorous clothes. If the point of drag is to entertain, than Jinkx is a top contender, for sure. She and Alaska are miles ahead of everyone else in their humor, improv, and ability to roll with the punches on stage.

I say this every week, but Enlightened is the most devastating tv show on now (maybe ever). I feel the need to rebuild my self, brick by brick, after watching it—like it has come in and just melted whatever mortar I had completely away.

Hey neighbor! Actually, I don't live there anymore, but I admit to  watching Enlightened at least in part to spot places from the 'Dena.

You sound super cool!!

For real: how have I missed out on this!?!

Can they both win? That would be ideal

@The_Guilty_Party:disqus I'm not, but my 6th grade English teacher was.

I'm willing to be part of the backlash-to-the-backlash here and say that I loved Silver Linings Playbook. I thought it was unexpected and unlike anything else nominated. Haven't seen Amour or Lincoln, but SLP's my pick out of the ones I have seen.

I'm not married, but part of the reason that scene made me so emotional was that I completely agree with Leslie—there's just no conceivable scenario for me in which I'd take my husband's name. If he demanded it, then he wouldn't be the person for me.

Wait, are you telling me that it does?

The Caine Mutiny lost to On the Waterfront in 1954, which was a pretty good year of nominees. Not the best year though. That would be 1962. Maybe.

Best picture nominees that were ROBBED:

I always forget that Amadeus won. Such a strange choice to my mind, but also one I don't contest at all.

You and I would get along. I already loved pie when that show came on, but it flipped some sort of switch and I became a pie fiend. Entered pie contests, etc. The best way to avoid grad school studying: Pie.

Has no one yet said Slurm? I don't want to try it, but I think I'd like to know what it smells like.

Actually—that doesn't sound too bad? I imagine the Oreos fell out and there were some strange crunchy/soft texture clashes, but I can't see that the flavor of plain white bread would mess too much with the massive amounts of sugar in Oreos

I know! I was so thrilled! We can hijack the thread though—I just rewatched the whole series and want to mention 1. How great their guest stars were (eg Paul F Tompkins, Stephen Root, Kerry Kenney-Silver and Fred Willard in one single episode) 2. Barry Sonnenfeld should come back to TV; 3. That Raul Esparza was wasted
