I'm a ditto on that as well. I was really hoping they wouldn't take the route they're taking. It's starting to feel like every other show set in the late sixties, and I'm sick of that period. I was hoping they'd show people living their lives around it all, not focusing on it.

Define "incredibly high." Mine's up there, too; I wonder if it qualifies as "incredible," or just "pretty high."

Ha! I just rewatched that episode earlier this evening!

She would still be an alien, just a resident one. IIRC that's what it says on the green card (I've had a few friends who had them, and I think that's the term used: resident alien).

Bah! I'm tired of waxed men. And I have no problem with a little heft in a man, either. It can be quite sexy, IMO.

That catsup thing really came out of left field, didn't it? Get angry because other companies say they're as good as Heinz, not because they spell it differently when there is otherwise no discernible difference. I remember seeing "catsup" on the shelves but don't recall it having a different consistency.

Agreed, both re Don't ketchup pitch and the Joan/Peggy thing. I was surprised how unsupportive/unwilling Peggy was at that meeting, given that she looked really irritated when Pete came on board and refused to let Joan come to the meeting.

Yeah, she should do something about those in order to not be "ridiculous" to you. What is she thinking?

I think the seventies are awesome, but I'm so, so sick of the late sixties. All the current events stuff on the show now bores me. The early years didn't focus so heavily on that stuff; I get that this is "bigger," but still.

Sorry, he should go full WHAT now?

I always thought it was true.

YES! I'm tired of seeing decent, lucid, and cogent arguments dismissed as "Ugh, you just Godwined, loser, STFU." Sometimes comparisons to Hitler are relevant. Sometimes it's actually funny/ironic.

I agree re where the hallucinations etc. came from, but I am sick of the extended drug sequences. I kept expecting Andy Warhol to show up and hand Jim Morrison a gold phone.

I had the same thought. I never liked hash much; like weed without the laughing.

So…when did Oliver Stone take over Mad Men?

Also HA!

HA!

You're probably right, but it still sounds rather silly. :-)

Also, my husband and I got a good half hour's worth of jokes out of "Manolo Cologne, male nurse."

I admit, I'm thrilled Thin Betty is back so I can just stare at her. (That's not to say bigger women can't be gorgeous, just that JJ isn't really one of those bigger women.) I'm not crazy about Betty, but man is she beautiful.
