They can have my lawnmower when they pry it from my COLD DEAD HANDS!!!

Yes. Ted is also the guy who said things like, "Every time Don Draper turns around, he sees me," or whatever the exact line was, to the NYT.

I'm sorry to hear it.

Well, remember her mother's brilliant characterization/judgment: [She has] the artistic temperament but is not an artist.

Ditto. Another excellent post.

Yep. And it wasn't even Don's chair, it was Roger's. Duck only managed a little gas.

My husband and I were mugged once right outside my house (when we were dating). No fear in that guy's eyes. And frankly if I'd had a weapon I would have used it. B&stard.

Ditto.

Well I'm disappointed. I was all excited for Peggy to climb aboard the Chaough Choo-Choo there, and it didn't happen.

I've certainly never mocked someone for having a penis, either. In fact I'm…envious.

@Froide:disqus Thank YOU! It's comments like yours—aside from the really funny ones—that make me love hanging out here.

Indeed. :-)

True, but it would have been worth a try. Ida would have eventually searched the bedrooms, but Sally could have bought herself a couple of minutes.

Yep, just what I was going to say.

I wondered why Sally didn't say she was going back to bed and call the police from the bedroom.

Ha! I suggested exactly that scenario last week to my husband (can't recall if I said it here, which does not imply that you "copied" me, it's just a comment). I think it's a strong possibility, yeah.

Eh. Most acid has a pretty strong speed element, and he was fine with that more than once, so…

I immediately knew she was a burglar—if nothing else, her bag clunked when she set it down when Sally saw her—but I actually thought she was going to be related to Dawn in some way, because she said she had a key and knew Don's name. I figured maybe she was one of those crazy relatives almost everyone seems to have.

The story was that Cutler had a "heart reaction," and Roger took him to the hospital, but it's strongly implied—since they drove off giggling—that nobody had any heart trouble and they were just running out on everyone to drink and pick up chicks.
Maybe they went to Vegas. Now that is an episode/spin-off I want to see.

I hope you find something for him! He might enjoy something like Dexter, or The Shield, if you're looking for more-mature shows to kind of bring him into "adult" TV. Both can be a bit graphic/violent (although given Dexter's subject matter I'm often surprised by how non-graphic it can be), but still engrossing and
