When watching mulhulland drive, I had the weird clarvoyant experience of having laura harris enter naomi watts' house, to which I thought "it would be really fitting and appropriate if they had some lesbian sex right now." THE MOVIE READ MY MIND.

LIBERATE TUTTE ME…EX INFERNALIS.
I enjoyed it immensely, though both it and apparently solaris are just blatant ripoffs of Event Horizon. Really now, come on.
Todd Holoubek was actually in MORE post state stuff than he was actually on the state when it was on tv.
Seriously, they have an Elliot Smith, a Bret Michaels, a David Chang, a Chris Martins….did I miss anyone?
Wordsmiff - on the same token, Frank Bruni (the NYT critic…at least for a few more weeks) uses lots of disguises, but restaurants still keep grainy old photos from the 80s, current descriptions of him, etc. There was an article recently discussing his leaving the post, where chefs talked about the lengths they'd go to…
I thought Ratatouille was fantastic, being a foodie myself. It basically hit almost all the points of modern food prep and critique (no wonder Thomas Keller was a consultant), even touching heavily on what restaurants do to gain and maintain a Michelin star.
The two random actors I noticed (or didn't) were shawn hatosy and rory cochrane. During the movie, I randomly mentioned both outside providence and empire records to my friend, and he's like, hey dipshit…both of those actors are in the movie you're watching right now.
Boo
You guys have been relying too hard on the potato chip crutch every few weeks. Wasn't there one like 2 weeks ago?
is that a bad thing?
NY
Rock on, I'll be there, examining all the other AVcommenter mutants that show up.
Interesting take
As someone who has worked in quite a number of psych facilities, it's always interesting to have a former patient write a rather eloquent view of their experience. Given, I have only worked in either inner city or lower to middle class facilities for adults, which doesn't seem to be what you were at,…
Snake, there is generally a pretty big difference between a public psych hospital and a ultra rich private one (a la McLeans). There are many fewer "real" patients in a private hospital (it tends to be drugs or personality disorders), and much more actual psychopathology in a public one.
Pierce, I read a book called "Why People Die By Suicide" (which is a great book, by the way), and yeah, they mentioned a number of people who had survived a jump from the golden gate. I think a number of them stated that the exhilaration of jumping actually made them regret that they were about to die.
Agreed, Shredder. Totally was expecting a larry fine-esque bald jew-fro on a short chubby dude wearing a brown and green striped hipster cardigan. Instead, I get a meaner looking version of Peter Garrett
I prefer my Chateau Diana from the 7/11
Nabin, you kinda look like a nerd who may or may not kick the living hell out of someone if you were having a bad day.
camel, well, it's anti-semitic…i guess…he says "the tall israeli is running this rap shit," but…in at least one sense, that's true (Lyor Cohen)
I was unaware that they actually stopped making Hydrox. Now who will be the Jax to Oreo's Cheez Doodles?
Blue Sky is definitely still around in some specialty shops in NY.
