i actually thought the sea shanty was one of the best songs this season. so random, as it should be.

They are now from alternate futures, but they didn't start that way…the things that derek changed in the time before jesse arrived (i.e. season 1) changed her future, so that jesse now exists in a different future than derek did.

Considering that she is allowing john henry to be taught "morals," and she doesn't seem to mind that he's finding out all her company's secrets, I still think that Weaver is on her own side, perhaps doing an end run around the whole skynet thing, and making her own robot group…for what purposes, I don't know.

I think that the plasma rifle is there to burn through the metal, and they were taught to aim for the chip…otherwise, it's a damaging shot, but not a killshot by any stretch.

I liked this ep as well…the last 3 eps were the best arc in a long time. The point being, I think, to give us a little bit more about how john is much smarter and more calculating than they almost ever give him credit for on this show. I also liked that they referred to the war as "John Connor's chess game."

Butters is definitely the best character on the show, and I hope they have a butters-featured ep this season, because it was sadly missing last season.

I don't know what it is about Taye Diggs, it's not like he's that offensive of an actor, but man, do I love seeing him get killed on screen. Witness this movie, and the actually far more cult canoney movie "Equilibrium," which I am amazed has not been covered in this column yet.

I honestly and truly love that scene, and that line may be one of my favorite movie lines ever. Weirdly, I find a lot of opportunities to use it.
