I read through the Marvel Masterworks versions of Amazing Spider-Man and enjoyed them for what they are.  It's definitely a product of its time but I still enjoyed them for what they are.  If you're able to put yourself in that mindset, they can be pretty fun despite their flaws.

Except Peter Parker himself wasn't a wiseass.  He was mopey and boring the entire time Stan Lee wrote him (I know that's been 40 years ago but that was his entire origin story).  He was only a wiseass while he was Spider-Man.

As cornball as it is, I still say that City Slickers is Billy Crystal's best film.

For me, the PG-13 rating hurt it's appeal as well.  I was really into Weird Al and begged my parents to take me.  They weren't sure it was appropriate (I was 8 at the time).  They knew someone that had seen it who said it would be fine for me.  They said they would take me the next weekend and couldn't find it

UHF is filled with the greatest lines ever.  It is easily most quoted movie of all time.

While it seems like Give My Regards To Broad Street would be better as a music video collection with linking segments, anyone that's seen McCartney's One Hand Clapping can assure it wouldn't be.  Paul spends one of the linking sections discussing how much he enjoys cinema popcorn.

I really enjoyed being able to see that his beard was tied to his head.

I can finally get rid of my DVDs made from bad quality VHS tapes!

The only tattoo I have seriously ever considered is getting the Arashikage tattoo from G. I. Joe.  It's the one Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes have on their arms.

I thought of that part in The Secret Of Monkey Island where this insane battle is happening and the only indication is sound effects coupled with on screen prompts.

Pretty sure Twilight Zone never did a sex dice joke.

I saw this and yes, that's the case.

I think the voice cast gives a shit about doing their job well.

Franklin is El Kabong.  He can't be two superheroes.

I would have had a negative reaction to Tiny Furniture getting the release regardless of any other announcements Criterion was making.
