Not to mention that it OBVIOUSLY does NOT think of itself as a metaphor for gun control. It's a post-9/11 liberty vs security debate.

I don't know about "forgiveness", per se, but rather that vengeance is a hollow pursuit.
Another thing is the post-CW series Fallen Son. It shows different characters dealing with the death of [spoiler], which didn't happen in CW itself, but as a direct result of it.
To be fair, the Wolverine thing was specifically done to set up a story where his healing factor would be scaled way back. So if it seemed ridiculous, it was supposed to.
I think it was the webbing that specifically drew Tony to Peter. He figured that he could web Cap up and end the fight before it even started. It wasn't supposed to turn into an all-out brawl. Tony figured his show of force (plus his ace-in-the-hole Peter) would make Cap reconsider.
It's a catch-22, really. If the tie-ins are important to the main story, fans complain about being forced to buy them or that the main story is full of holes. If the tie-ins aren't important, fans complain about them being a bunch of filler cash-grabs. The best events can split the difference, but that's a very…

He didn't want to fight Vision. He set the arrow trap (which worked) and intended to get out of there ASAP. But Wanda resisted long enough so that Vision escaped, so Clint had no choice but to try to take on Vision and hope Wanda came around. Which she did, in a big way.

Joke-ception.
Sorcery! Get the torches, boys!
When Springsteen tickets went on sale, I was at an airport, in line to board. I immediately got on the TM website, but it kept showing up as "no tickets available" no matter how often I reloaded.
Actually, it seemed that the backlash happened pretty early, and it's been reassessed in a more positive direction since then. (At least, by people willing to move past their knee-jerk reactions.)
GAAAAAAAALAAAAAAVAAAAAANT!!!!!!!!!!!
I came here to mention that. I rewound that shot 3 times, and it killed me each time.
And speaking of Kiedis, what sort of linguistic kickflips will he be able to pull off in this masterpiece of nonsensical cultural appropriation?
Huh, how about that? A couple of thoughts:
Really? Which ones? And what were they based on?
This is pretty much the argument used to justify teachers' salaries.
