You might be on to something with that one, though. Melody's existence with Time Lord DNA isn't normal, so there are probably a few anomalies with how she works vs. how the Doctor works. So maybe having shot the TARDIS was part of her plan to keep the Doctor from regenerating since it is connected?

I agree about the speed at which Melody/River stopped being super assassin to saving the Doctor's life. If she had been brainwashed all those years, it only takes a matter of minutes to undo?

How could you leave your Alan Rickman phase?! He's a major reason I looked forward to the Harry Potter movies. And why I love "Sense and Sensibility" so much.

So true. When I realized the crying Kelly was doing in the preview would be over a gorilla who turned into a dude, I thought, "no way, I'm not on board." But Lauren Socha totally sold it on top of an episode that was fun from start to finish.

Yes. Everything about that last shot (the music, the camera work, them drinking beers) was fantastic.

I was concerned that none of them would have appropriate attire for a fancy dress party. Especially not Nathan. Then I understood fancy meant costume.

Ha - tonight, Misfits will have the highest comment count its ever had. And it's nothing to do with the show.

Wow…it's very strange. Kim Jong Il and President Clinton are suuuper skinny in my avatar photo.

Yes!

Did anyone else watch "The Hour" tonight? It's good to see Ollie landed on his feet.

At first, I didn't like her, but I think by the end of this episode I came around with her whole "I'm happy to be alive" comment after kissing Curtis. Plus, I like that Curtis can have a real relationship (I always chalked his pairing with Alisha to be more out of convenience).

@Dj, I know you've already explained this (and I've read your blog about it), but part of me isn't completely convinced the writers have it all figured out. I'm trying to reserve judgement, but until then, I still find it completely unnecessary that he went back in time.

Yeah, @FortyTwo, he's unbelievably muscular, which never showed in either the jumpsuit or his polo and jean jacket outfit.

Ahhh, time travel, it doesn't take long for you to start turning things stupid.
So true, and so unfortunate because there was so much to like about this episode. It's one of the best when dealing with everything but the Future Simon business. And also probably one of the funniest episodes.

There was a similar thread when it was first announced they were recording a new album. I wasn't registered then, so here's my chance to add my opinion:

I guess maybe that's why I'm not too bothered with Sheehan's departure. I still like Nathan, and there will be a definite difference with him gone. But, the show gradually changes focus over these next few episodes that it doesn't make him leaving feel so major.

I wouldn't say it becomes a disaster. As the mythology deepens, it becomes more problematic, but I still enjoyed it. It'll get a pass from me for quite awhile before I call it a disaster.

After being really critical of what goes down from here on out, I have to say I do really love this episode. From the Simon/Alisha stuff to the look Nathan gives Kelly right before they kiss, there's some really sweet moments that make me get all girly.

Sorry - it was more than just the fact that they showed a clip, it was that they showed a semi-spoilery one, but not sure if it's a spoiler to someone who hasn't already seen the episode. I wonder if someone seeing it out of context would know what was going on. Or that they've been spoiled slightly…
