Warren Buffett did buy the Omaha World Herald (and some smaller regional papers) in 2011. It's a pretty good quality paper, I think. Turns out he's been buying even more papers since then…

I usually wince at scatological humor too, but I actually thought this one was done well, and made me laugh! There weren't a bunch of dumb sound effects, no gross visuals, and most of all it was short-lived and ended quickly. It sounds like I'm in the minority though…
I cried yesterday reading the AV Club article on the Friday Night Lights episode "The Son". I was at work, so couldn't even watch the video clips. Oh, and had to hide the fact that I was tearing up in the middle of the day. But not only one of the best episodes of TV ever, but also a pretty amazing write-up by Noel…
Agreed, though to add to the "piece of shit" bandwagon, right now he seems to be spinning this as blaming the dirtiness of the people he was with.
Bree Olson just did an interview with Howard Stern this morning, worth a listen: https://soundcloud.com/howa…
I'd like to think though that the majority of super powers would be stupid and useless - at least if we accept the entire evolution explanation (which…. yeah…). Would love to see more of those. Hey, I have a super power! It's being able to heat food fast! It's being able to turn off microwave ovens with my mind! …
Yes!! Dear god, Joanne is the most embarrassing character (terrible acting + horrible dialogue), and seems to be the person who I guess we're supposed to empathize with because grieving or something? I think she was even laughing and skipping after each kill, even looking at pictures of their families. This seems…
That's awesome, I never saw that! Topical even today….
Is your lipstick all smeared
Are your stockings not sheared
Do they make your legs show all their hairs….
I watched this movie over and over and over as a kid - but we had taped it off of TV so most of that joke was cut out as too risque. It was pretty awesome buying the DVD as an adult and realizing there were whole jokes that were brand new to me!
A shout-out belongs to the movie Cliffhanger, where (spoiler) Stallone throws a duffel bag of money into John Lithgow's helicopter blades to bring it down.
Me too! I'm cautiously optimistic, but thought it was a fun episode.
Adding "Trevor Noah Net Worth". And "Trevor Noah Butterflies".
"Trevor Noah Family" (or Love) also a new one. This is fun!!!
The escalator at work was off/closed yesterday! Joy.
"Why don't they say, 'escalators temporarily stairs?'" I said.
I actually think Wilmore has absolutely hit his stride, and look forward to his show every night. He's 100 episodes in now, and I think the pacing is right (though the correspondent bits still seem like they're being tweaked).
I didn't like it too much in the beginning - I typically hate panel discussions (what is Bon Jovi's opinion on immigration reform?). And I agree it seemed choppy at times. But I think it's now hugely improved, and worth another shot.
They like a lot of their men to have short dark hair and a few days of beard growth. I couldn't tell Chuck and Spanish speaker #1 and #2 apart until I saw who they were with. Overacting black lady? Chuck. Kid who doesn't seem too sad about dad's death? Whichever of #1 or #2 didn't die.
I'm with you (and everyone else here). Absolutely loved this episode - this show has been quietly becoming one of my favorites. If it helps people considering watching this show: I wasn't that much of a fan in Season 1. I disliked both Brett Gelman's or Jenny Slate's characters (too broadly self-absorbed), and I…
