I wouldn't trust the Bears to pick the right QB. Pre-Cutler there were such first-round gems as Cade McNown and Sexy Rexy Grossman. Cutler has a face we all want to punch, but he can be a solid enough QB (when not freaking out, sometimes understandably based on how much he is hit, or how many points the defense just

Well shoot, I'm in if still room. Planning on drafting the best/Frenchiest long snapper in the game. Sending an email now….

I think people are getting too hung up on the "hero" title.

Same here. It's my #1 dream show (that could still technically happen). Friggin' loved them growing up.

Those were some damn funny replies (thanks!!), but I'll reply to this more serious one. This whole thing is interesting because smoking is so demonized right now (to a point, rightfully so).

I think people forget that smoking is an enjoyable thing, for the most part. It's relaxing, it tastes pleasant (especially with drinks), it's a release for any latent oral fixation, etc. It's not entirely a "stupid thing". Lots of things people do have a certain element of risk for that reward.

I watched a bit of his standup on youtube yesterday, and think they probably made a good decision to hire him. He's a great story teller, seems very accessible and down-to-earth, and most of his stand-up I saw had a political bend. I laughed out loud quite a few times, but can't remember any specific punchlines (if

Per the internets, Cook County SA makes $192K/year. Plus surely her kids got some scholarships. And she had $500K readily available to get her partnership a few years ago. And that Highland Park house they sold had to be at around $1M-$1.5M.

I fucking love this movie.

Wait a sec…

Not only that, but he had some of the funniest lines of the night. His sudden, <beat> "I'm really drunk at work!" had me rolling.

New to me too…

Sounds like you "run the gantlet", but "throw down the gauntlet". Gauntlet = glove, gantlet = line of people who beat you.

The fuck? The fuck… That is the most upsetting thing I've ever seen.
All of those links. This is a fucking thing?????
Fucking America sometimes…. If I have a kid, I have to check that they're going to learn science in science class? We're seriously the worse sometimes.

I can see your point that Jenna did get an easy way out - luckily (in retrospect) she found something intangibly bad he was doing, rather than slowing coming to the realization that he was bad for her overall. But I'd argue that that's more true to life. Her friends realized right away that he was trying to change

Yeah, that's the thing. It was really shockingly violent and gory. I had to turn away a few times. The (SPOILER, I GUESS) scene where the guy's head was stomped in like a rotten watermelon? The gunshot to the head in the bathroom? That just went so overboard for me, it took me completely broke my tension and

Dorothy: Blanche, how did you afford all that? Your credit card's expired.
Blanche: Don't worry, honey… I paid with nature's credit card.

Me too, TBS scheduling has me watching this a few days later than the air date. But here I am! Commenting! Please don't take this away, AV Club - we poor Cougar Town fans have been through enough of people trying to take our show away :(

For the record, I think spaghetti sandwiches sounds pretty delicious.

I completely agree with you (I know I had a poor choice of words in my comment you're referring to - a one-off word of "uncaring" was just me trying to be brief, which I seldom am.)
