Yeah, that's a terrific scene. I really enjoy how even the smaller characters in this show get a moment or two to make them memorable. This mousy kid revealing that he'd known Masters' fib from the beginning, while keeping things non-confrontational was a great touch.

Sheen's has been the best and most emotionally affecting performance I've seen the last two years. When he is occasionally laid bare, it really feels like we're seeing something we shouldn't. As if we've walked into a room where a stranger is having a private moment. I can't recall getting that feeling from a

I'd assume he masturbated while thinking of Virginia…

I loved how they couldn't figure out how to work a door. It reminded me of the old Far Side comic.

He's in the middle of a crisis of conscience before his boss even comes into the room. So much so that Vance's character, who seems already aware of

If she were bisexual, I expect she'd have been able to tell her husband she loved him. She liked him well enough, there was just nothing romantic there.

I don't think the pace has been a problem at all. The problem is that I still don't care whether any of these people are eaten, and most of them I WANT to be eaten.

Yeah, they struggled a bit with the reboot idea, but once the season gets going, it has a string of really terrific episodes leading up to another incredibly movie-like multi-part story.

1812! 1812!

While an obvious step below The Wire, The Bridge faces two similar problems: The lack of an easy "hook" to draw in new viewers, and a large focus on non-white people that limits its appeal to the average viewer.
