"Muted" thriller? That's an understatement. Lots of long shots of Italian villages and landscapes, lots of walking sequences, sipping coffee in cafes, etc. I guess I was expecting a bit of a quicker pace—especially when the story has been told so many times before.

As a cartography nut, I'd like to see more maps of the battles at the beginning or as part of the story, so we get a better sense of the moving battle lines. Yes, I can google them, but having a cool animated map or a marine gesturing at a hand-held map, cigarette in hand, would help fram the battle.

I loves me some 'Floyd and from what I've heard so far, this isn't half bad. The Easy Star Allstars version is a good cover, too—at least humorously so. The bong hit sounds in place of change rattling on Money is classic.
