I didn't really understand the argument about nerd shame on MBMBAM.  Justin seemed to be saying that it's okay to consider some things too nerdy/embarrasing to even approach, whereas Griffin first argued that you shouldn't care what other people think, but then switched to 'try everything, because you never know what

This is the week Stop Podcasting Yourself moves into "The Best?"  I thought Bays was the dullest guest in months.

If we're talking sci-fi shows, Babylon 5 for me.  I got like 9 episodes in a couple of years ago and it is so fucking terrible.  I don't care if it gets amazing in Season 3 (nor do I really believe it, either).  Wading through all that shit isn't worth it. Life is too short.

I don't care for Nolan's take on Batman because I have no interest in all that techno Bat gear and the "realism" of the world.  Gotham should be a living nightmare.  French Expressionism and Noir influences should be all over the thing.  The title sequence to BTAS is pretty much exactly how Batman, live action or not,

I have read the books, and love them, and I do not think the show is very good.  It has (generally) good acting and a great credits sequence, and that's about it.  Next to none of the source material's depth and nuance is preserved because the show only has 10 hours to adapt enormous books.

I think making writers choose a grade makes their review more focused on praise/critique/analysis and less on plot summary and other rambling, because they'll feel the need to justify the grade. Hopefully.

What if you are terrified of being the one dude in a million who gets prosecuted and fined every penny he has just for downloading something that hasn't been in print and available by any conventional means for years, and won't ever be?

I literally just started listening to Walking the Room last week. I liked that they were an independent operation and I didn't have to listen to any ads for anything, and that they didn't often have guests.  Also my grocery store stopped carrying the Bolthouse fruit juice I discovered last month.  Does everything

There is absolutely zero chance that a big-budget Dr. Strange movie that could actually get made in the real world would be any good.

Definitely.  Even True Blood has a completely bad-ass title sequence.

The Busiek/Bagley Thunderbolts run was very cool.  I hope Marvel puts it into a couple of those fancy omnibus editions at some point.
