The version of "ME 262" on On Your Feet Or On Your Knees is amazing. That call-and-response middle section is one of my favorite BOC moments.

They gotta make room for Downright Talkin' with Schneer and Laturne.
That recent episode where they talked about Fastball's "The Way" was an all-time highlight for me. Made me flash back to Boy Scout camp where the 6th grade version of me was trying to explain the difference between Fastball and Smash Mouth to a fellow scout while I pushed gross-looking beans around my plate. Talk…
They did, and there were a few weird moments where Jonathan felt pretty absent. "Did I let my friend down?" I dunno, dude, but maybe 36 is a good age to lay off the hallucinogens on the night before a show people paid 25+ dollars to see?
Watching "reaction videos" is a surefire way to get me in a bad mood. If anybody acted like these people while watching a movie or show with me, I'd throw them out of my fucking apartment and never talk to them again.
I can't be bothered to check if this was brought up on the last Podmass comments section, or even if the timing made sense, but Harmontown #56 was incredible. I never loved Community outside of a handful of its really impressive episodes, but Harmontown episodes like this one have made me an enormous fan of Dan…
It's like demanding that a samurai sword be better-designed to cut butter.
It IS bad, but it's also the only place I've ever found where you can find professionally-written reviews of not-current, not-top-40 music. Or was. I think they stopped doing album reviews.
He already compromised his vision by accepting HBO's dump truck of money to make a flat, artless version of his narrative. At this point, it seems obvious that we are going to be seeing the end of the story through the TV show before Martin's books, which is an awfully sad thing. I can't just turn off the entire…
"My 45 year old son on his Facebook page, just by itself, sounds SO bad…"
Uhh Yeah Dude 371 was fantastic. Seth and Jah aren't afraid to call out shitty shit for being shitty, whether it's Larry the Cable Guy, Oblivion, or Zac Efron's representation (Seth's original rant on Efron back in the 260s is unbelievably well-spoken, hilarious, and dead-on considering it's totally off-the-dome.)
When I read the books as a kid, I imagined the spaceship interiors to be much darker and grimier. Was I just a terrible reader or did they deliberately Star Trek the sets up here because that is the last thing set on spaceships that made money?
It seemed like Maron didn't bother to listen to any UYD episodes to prep for the interview and was just going on things he overheard from when his girlfriend listens. That disappointed me because I wouldn't mind a little talk about the mechanics of Seth and Jonathan's chemistry, certain comedic wells they frequent,…
Just look to last year's best of lists to see what Podmass likes. If you aren't a stand up or comedic actor or some other sort of Hollywood shithead, your podcast doesn't count.
Zombieland was the first one I watched, and I thought it was dreadful. I was pleasantly surprised when Alpha House, Betas, and Those Who Can't were much better.
Harmontown 53 is an instant classic. Even Spencer couldn't stop laughing when Jeff went on his tear at the end. Terrific episode.
Yeah, 368 was awesome, especially that last 15 minutes or so. Whenever Seth talks about being sober he is immensely entertaining. The band names at that music fest bit also killed me.
Are there any Maiden songs that could fit into Yorke's brand of breathe-singing?
I can't believe I'm not reading more hype about The Americans. The two leads are great, all the characters are sympathetic rather than just one side, it is suspenseful, and (so far) it doesn't waste the audience's time with filler. Don't sleep on this show, people.
These two Uhh Yeah Dude episodes were both terrific, especially the bit in 366 about Jonathan's dreams. "This is MY ecstasy!" I don't understand what the reviewer is looking for from a UYD episode if not anecdotes, personality, and camaraderie like that. 367 has the worldwide porn trends and the story about people…
