There have been exceptions, but this is fairly typical of AV Club reviews of political movies.

Sorry LittleDeuce but I couldn't tell which way you were going with it.  Congratulations, now you're an artist too!  (And that is a goof also.)

El Sabor I understand where you're coming from, I like a wide definition of art.  The problem is we have gotten SO FAR from epignosis's definition that any image, sound, or act can be shoehorned into your definition.  The result is a world of pretentious, talentless hacks imitating each other's effortless bullshit and

Of course there are exceptions, but the generalizations about country and hip-hop are equally true - as generalizations of course.

I get what you're saying Cap, but I would say the ROE and Two and a Half Men characters are saints compared to the Seinfeld characters, who would fit your description.  And there have been some touchy-feely moments on ROE.

Honestly this show is nowhere as bad as people here think it is.  It's a standard sitcom that mostly consists of characters that made dumb decisions and throw snappy one-liners at each other.  And it actually succeeds at it most of the time, as at least the one-liners are pretty funny most of the time.

But that was BEE MOVIE-era Jerry Seinfeld right?  I wonder what 90s Seinfeld thought of it.

The extras are a big deal for me.  I watch a lot of commentaries and cast/crew interviews on movies I rent but might not buy.  Making barebones rental copies and extras discs for purchasers only seems backwards.

Me too.  It's just simpler to deal with the discs and a DVD player.  I know I could hook up a box or connect my PC to my TV, I just don't want to bother with it.  I have enough high-tech shit to deal with at work.

Exactly what I was thinking, cabin boy.  This sounds less pretentious though.

+1.  There is no absolute victory over all the natural flaws of being human, but isn't working to overcome them the point?

I tried to watch this show with some relatives who are fond of it, but I was afraid I was going to have some kind of seizure or blackout.

(Sorry meaning to reply to Evel but software won't cooperate)

She basically does that very thing to the title character in a Malcolm in the Middle episode.  In fact, I didn't even find her that hot until then.

That's kind of a thing on this site.  They complain about the lack of character development on Family Guy.  Or watch the Horrible Bosses video review, where the movie suffers because the plot doesn't live up to that of the Hitchcock movie it's inspired by.
