My brother leaned over to me to me during the screening and whispered "A tenner says that he just gave himself Aids".

That's a hell of a good news/bad news scenario. Good news Palestinians, Israel has finally been wiped from the face of the earth. The bad news is that everybody is now a zombie. Maybe some of the radicalised Palestinians could live with that even if they were undead zombies.
Arnie is the big spoon, am I right?
It's a solid movie that has a good cast, a surreal sense of humor and Kim Ji-woon has a knack for stylish action. Peter Stormare is worth the price of admission on his own, he delivers one of the more enjoyable hammy performances that I've seen recently. You'll have great fun trying to place his accent. I'd say that…
And this happens in the same week that the supreme court gutted the civil rights act because a bunch of old white dudes decided that racism is no longer an issue in America. Hmmm.
I think I read that Michael Mann worked on a directors cut dvd that totally changed that score for something more subtle.
Post Deleted.
At the risk of outing myself as uber tv nerd there already was a tv adaptation of Last of the Mohicans back in 1996. It was called "Hawkeye" and it starred Lynda Carter in the Madeleine Stowe role and some dude with a mullet played the Daniel Day Lewis role. Here's the pilot in case anyone thinks I'm kidding.
Exactly. You'll be waiting a long time to see a black prime minster in Europe.
Only if he can be a power bottom.
He had a great run in the nineties with Schindler's List, Rob Roy and Michael Collins. But it's kind of sad to see him get sucked in a series of straight to video Jason Statham level films. It would be nice to see him get back to actual acting at some stage in the future.
Just coming!
Plus Father Ted and Blackadder.
Matt Berry is simply the man. I started to rewatch this show in order to keep abreast of the recaps but instead of watching the episodes in sequential order I found myself rewatching the Douglas heavy episodes instead. For my money his epic ladyboy fight in season 3 is the highlight of the show.
Feckin right.
John Martyn's "May You Never". The lyrics come across a summary of warm yet hard won wisdom plus the song has a warm folk feel that is not maudlin.
If you asked me this question fourteen years ago I would have without hesitation have said Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah cover. But in the years since that song has been overexposed and run into the ground by appearing in various TV shows and films. The killing blow was when Simon Cowell sunk his fangs into it several…
"This week on Douche and Bag. What do you mean I got the names wrong?".
Superman returns is not a good movie but it did a better job of capturing the humanity of Superman than this film did. And Man of Steel just did not resonate emotionally at all while I remember crying at the "The father becomes the son and the son becomes the father" monologue at the end of of Superman Returns.
But Zod did have good motivation which is a nice change for a supervillian. He's trying to restore his ruined civilisation but sadly he's an unhinged nut job which kind of undercuts his cause.
