I think the ultimate answer for this is any time you see a street/subway performer that you really enjoy.  Living in NYC, I have been fortunate enough to see many very talented people doing their thing with only a handful of people watching.  From three old guys singing a cappella to breakdancers on a moving train to

Meet The Curtains

@avclub-8960b60364cfbb5ea071c2507704fb2a:disqus Yeah, perhaps I was too harsh.  The Silverchair song is legitimately awesome (and was a pretty big surprise).

@avclub-6ef36c8de89f58253dbbd5f338837bf1:disqus Oh man, I loved the Spawn soundtrack too but even back then my friends were like "what the fuck is this crap?"

Nah, I loved that shit. Hearing their tune in The Matrix was a pretty big deal for my younger self.

Yeah, the Amp compilation was huge for me.

That's veering into trip-hop.  As much as I hate genre labels, I think they are a necessary evil at times.

They aren't bad so much as horribly dated.  And I agree with @avclub-fd11043c50c15f9e700a52b3f00136f8:disqus in that the samples were often more grating than catchy.

Oh shit, you're right.  Got him confused with Romanek.  How embarrassing.

The weird thing is, Sharon Stone was way hotter and more badass than the other chick. But Arnold had a thing where he often had an "ethnic" chick as a love interest in his movies. Which is kind of cool even if it was a marketing ploy.

Renner is the big selling point for me.  He's overdue for a breakout.

It wasn't that bad. And NEVER LET ME GO was quietly devastating. Considering that and how talented Garfield is, I think there's some potential here.

Read the book. It's a really interesting story with great characters (particularly the one Hardy is playing) and a good amount of action/violence.

Yeah, from what I've read this sounds fucking great.  Character development isn't always the end-all be-all.

Maeda's Family Reunion Starring Tyler Perry-san

I say go with a TV series.  The Bush family as The Munsters.  W as the Frankenstein monster ("Dad, I broke the Constitution!"), Sr. as a crotchety vampire and Barbara as the fire-breathing pet under the stairs.

The unregistereds did keep us all on our toes so I agree (sort of).

I am experiencing a mixture of nostalgia and shadenfreude right now (at your story)
