It's easy to assume that society will collectively laugh at silly groups like the Tea Party, Scientologists or doomsday preppers but a lot of people take them seriously, folks. We've been comically inoculated against the Nazis, yes, but the next group of genocidal nutjobs won't look a bit like them.

What I remember most about Cat People is Natassja Kinski's huge nipples. I miss the 80's sometimes. Today's filmmakers are so prudish with the flesh.

Blue Thunder is pretty good. It's directed by John Badham and came out in '83. It has an aerial dogfight between McDowell and Roy Scheider over the LA skyline.

I'm tired of these monkey-fighting snakes on this Monday to Friday plane.

Gingers are okay as long as they don't have those icky freckles covering their bodies.
*double shudder*

Most actual "witches", or wiccans, weigh at least 200 pounds and dye their hair, like the girl in the photo above. I wouldn't want to see them getting it on.

Beeftheque Warrior: Out of luck and money, a 1970's underground party promoter named Vinnie asks his Uncle Paulie for a favor: will he let him use the meat processing plant Paulie runs as an afterhours disco venue. In exchange, Paulie wants him nephew to run a few "errands" for some neighborhood wiseguys. Will Vinnie

Good to know. I'll be sending my daughter to Vassar instead.

Alot of forgettable Hollywood movies got referenced in this episode. If I hadn't listened to the commentary I wouldn't have known that Burns standing in a meadow was a ref to Toys.

Ohhh, go eat some flowers.
(throws a bunch of flowers at Homer)

I'm in heaven right now. My local Los Angeles affiliate started playing reruns of S2 not too long ago at 11pm weekdays and tomorrow it will run the Monorail episode.

Hey where's the but_my_mom_says_im_cool commenter. This is his moment to shine.

The funniest part is that both pictures have the man with the same trance-like stare.

"Careful, Smithers!  That sponge has corners, you know."
"I'll go find a spherical one, sir."

He won't be in it. He'll just post a review of it in his new blog.

I always got caught off guard with how cruel Marge was in that last line. But I think the reason for it was that Hans only exists in The Simpsons to be tortured or ridiculed or killed. And to a lesser extent that also applies to Milhouse, especially in later episodes.

Try it.  It's like kissing a peanut!
