"One Tweeted picture shows a crowd of fifty or so clustered around the
exterior of a condo watching the broadcast on some guy's own personal
TV. Assuming he didn't mind them doing it, that's a quintessential
snapshot of a loving fan community, and probably unique to Chicago."

Yeah. In terms of Game 7s, there are a few that come close/match it (1960, 1991), and there are definitely some Game 6s that are close (2011, offhand, is one), but holy hell, what a game. What a FREAKING GAME.

Katie Nolan is actually the best.

The joke construction here is really good; I like that they have the bit going, they do Ben's bit, and then they circle around by jumping out and discussing the bit itself as a second bit.

Yeah, it would be insane if, for example, Disney made an entire other movie about the antagonist in Sleeping Beauty :p

I agree with the other commentators and Vikram; I think it derives from how they're treating Edgar. It isn't funny anymore - previously, I wanted to both punch them and and laugh at them, now I just want to punch them.

No, I understood! I meant more that it is basically ubiquitous in India and Indian households here (I also live in the US), so I'd be very surprised if Indian grocery stores (tbh, general ethnic grocery stores as well) didn't carry it.

"I wonder if I can find this at local Indian grocery stores."

This is a very common item in India - I'm sure that the author is writing from her experience (as I would in this case as well), not doled out some story.

Maggi is actually the best thing ever. Both the "hot and sweet" and the noodles, though mostly the noodles.

"just four blocks from Lake Michigan"

um abc family doesn't exist anymore :<

It helps that Hughes is an inner-circle PBP guy. I loved Ronnie so much, but with a slightly worse partner, he could have been (and sometimes was) a bit grating. Pat's just so, so good.

wtf is crackle lol

Just started Ancillary Justice. Am loving it so far, I think; finding the geopolitical discussions between the characters quite fascinating (and I'm only a few sections in).

what will shad moss say

This was actually a good job, internet.

I hope he explains edging in this movie.

drezzzzzzzz

“White people shit like college, Donald Glover, and TV on the Radio.”
